Cultural heritage infuses Mid-Wilshire's museums, music venues, and multitudinous communities. Often referred to as Midtown by LA locals, Mid-Wilshire comprises dozens of neighborhood enclaves, including Koreatown, Little Ethiopia, and contemporary American malls. Walk through first-class farmers' markets, contemplate art at the LACMA, and marvel at your central location between the Hollywood stars and Downtown's soaring skyscrapers. Mid-Wilshire's name says it all—it's mostly in the middle of everything.
The neighborhood boasts the highest concentration of nightclubs and 24-hour businesses in Southern California.
The famous Wiltern Theater is in walking distance. The Art Deco palace inherits its name from its intersection at (Wil)shire and Wes(tern) Avenue. Audiences have applauded musical acts at The Wiltern since 1931. http

Other Things to Note
We maybe be able to accommodate your pet, it's case by case. Message me about him or her and we'll see what we can do.
Availability changes frequently, so if we are full for your selected dates check back weekly, space may open up. And of course check our other listings, this room may be booked but others available (Airbnb lists by room, not property).
If you have stayed in a hostel before, you probably already know what to expect. You have one of four rooms. We will provide you with clean bedding and toilet paper on the first day, but after that you do your own laundry (washer and dry on site). Your toiletries (shampoo, soap, etc...) are provided by you. Sure, if you need something or lost something, we will help you out, just ask. But in general you bring your own stuff. (There are a number of markets a short walk from the room.)
The common areas (kitchen and bathrooms) are cleaned weekly, but you are expected to clean up after yourself, and to do so immediately after using the area. If any common area is messy, contact me immediately and we will take care of it, no problem. (I live next door.) We do not always check the common areas everyday, so please, if something is not right, let me know. I want to know. I will take care of it :)
You have your own private room; however, the bathrooms and kitchen are shared. There are four private rooms per unit. Thus it is necessary to respect others wishes, which means:
1) No smoking inside. Please smoke outside. There is a back patio and a front porch.
2) No parties.
3) No loud music or such.
If you have a problem with someone leaving the common areas dirty, smoking, loud noise, etc.... let us know immediately, and we will take care of it right away.
We are happy to help and advise, but basically we will leave you alone unless you ask. It is a great room for the price, and you cannot do better for access to public transport.
The room was perfect for my needs, and Kelly was there to help me settle in. All good.
Kelly was a great host, room was clean and had all basic necessities, which is more than enough if you're out for most of the day. The metro station the room is located at is also very convenient, and can get to Downtown or Hollywood rather quickly. Definitely a good room for the price.
The room was as described, clean and adequate. The only thing that kind of surprised me is that there wasn't a/c and while they didn't mention it in the ad, I think I expected that in LA. It cooled off at night though and it wasn't that bad. The room has a fan to help as well. I really appreciated the thorough details on options for transportation from the airport and directions. The location is central and close to the subway, which is super convenient and using the subway and buses was pretty easy. I would definitely recommend staying here for an affordable, convenient room.
The room is very small, max for 1 person. Located quite close to the subway station - about 10 minutes walking. The bathroom and kitchen were not clean enough. The neighborhood (koreatown) is not recommended by me as a good place to stay in LA - i didnt feel safe, the streets were too bleak, no interesting or nice views. However good option for somebody who doesnt want to spend much for accomodation.
I had a great time at Kelly's little home! Kelly is best host in LA , very friendly & kind.
