Other Things to Note
Once you arrive in Hong Kong, everything is quite simple and all starts with a call from the FREE phones at the airport located in the hall immediately after you pass through baggage customs. There is also a Visitors Center there if you would like to pick up some maps, local travel guides, etc. to read on your way to the apartment. If you need a local SIM card, there is a 7-11 in the middle section of the main arrival hall where they see all types of SIM cards, I usually prefer the PCCW brand as it is the larges local operator.
This is a Strictly NON SMOKING Flat.
UPON ARRIVAL AT PROPERTY, ALL GUESTS MUST WAIT FOR ME AT THE FRONT GATE OUTSIDE OF THE BUILDING. BUILDING RESIDENTS WILL COMPLAIN TO PROPERTY MANAGEMENT IF THE LOBBY AREA INSIDE BUILDING IS BLOCKED. THANKS FOR YOUR KIND UNDERSTANDING FOR AN ENJOYABLE STAY.
Check in time is AFTER 12:30 pm. Make sure to contact us by phone at least 30 minutes prior to arrival such that we can meet you at the flat to hand you the keys and acquaint you to the surroundings. As this is a family business, please try your best to arrive at the apartment as early as possible. After 11:30pm as transport to the apartment is limited for us, we have to charge HKD150 to cover our taxi transport cost to and from the apartment. We are generally exhausted at the end of the day and we really would rather you arrive early and not have to charge this.
Guests must wait for us OUTSIDE the building upon arrival and not enter the building without us as this causes unnecessary misunderstandings with the property management and residents of the buildings.
Check out time is STRICT at 11:00 am. NO EXCEPTIONS or you will be charged for an extra full day. Our cleaning crew will arrive at 11:00 am to service the flat for the next guest, thanks for your cooperation.
Please help us save the environment by turning off electrical appliances when leaving the apartment or not using them.
Water heater needs to be turned off when not using. If it breaks due to prolonged time left on, you will not have any hot water for your stay and will be subject to expensive repair charges.
In the case that you have an evening departure flight:
Please note that you can check in your luggage at anytime during the same day as your flight at the Hong Kong Station Airport Express, which is only a 5 minute taxi or bus ride from the apartment. That way you would be free to explore the city on your last day, not having to worry about your luggage or rushing to the airport since you have already checked in, you will not have to be at the airport as early as everyone else.
All airlines flying from Hong Kong airport offer In Town check in, EXCEPT the following:
Jetstar Asia Airlines
Brand was a Very good host and great communication. The appartment was in a great location and very spacious . We did expect from the add for there to a large private and there wasn't . That didn't stop us having fun. The appartment is getting a little dated and needs some renovation but I would still stay again .
Thanks Brenda !
This was my first Airbnb, so I was a bit nervous going in. All in all, it was disappointing. The apartment had a GREAT location and was decent sized. It was certainly more dated than the photos show, especially the bathroom, but I expected that. We were only there for 2 days, and while Brend's brother was really friendly and helpful with early check in and recommendations, we had serious issues with getting hot running water, which made the stay pretty negative.
The water heater was busted for all but the last 12 hours of our stay, which is a complete disappointment after flying all day to get to HK. I called once I realized the water heater didn't work - and would have appreciated getting a call once they realized they couldn't fix it that day (instead of us going out, coming back to the apartment at 11pm and then realizing it wasn't fixed). They tried to accomodate by letting us use the shower from a vacant unit a few floors down (while they were waiting in the living room, so we didn't have access to it unless they were there), which also turned out to have hot water issues. Once they did fix it, the bathroom was a complete mess (the water heater above the toilet was replaced. The toilet was not wiped or covered, so there was black stuff all over the toilet when it was done and we got back - really nasty).
So would I stay there again? Probably not that unit - the other units looked more modern and nicer. Since there were three of us (all guys), it was tolerable, but if I was with the wife and kids I would have been pretty bummed out.
Brendan was a great host. The place was clean. Had everything we needed. A great rooftop and perfect location. I would definitely stay there again.
Great place. The apartment was exactly like the pictures. Wifi worked well, hot water was hot, and the rooftop was a fantastic place for early breakfast or a drink at night. Brend was quite nice in meeting us and helping us get settled, even after we arrived very late. Location was good, close to a lot of nice bars and restaurants, and we were in the middle of Central's bustle in five minutes. Good size for four friends.
Thanks Brend for this flat. Location is perfect. A bit small for 8 but as we were most of the time out, it was ok. The flat was smaller than expected but clean and had everything required. I would recommend this flat.
Everything was wonderful, it is a very spacious apartment and the hostess was very good to us. A very good experience!

I was born in California and raised in Hong Kong. Went to college in the states and returned to Hong Kong a few years ago. I absolutely love travelling around the region but Hong Kong has always welcomed me home and I look forward to showing off my home town and sharing all the little insights and local specialities with all my guests!
