The Space

This is an AWESOME apartment on the edge of the "Lower East Side" and "Chinatown" neighborhoods of Manhattan, on Henry Street. It's very safe, and centrally located, near the subway/metro, and also the bus. There are awesome restaurants and cafes and bars within walking distance.

- THIS IS A "SHARE". 3 bedroom SHARE: 1 full-size bed in a private room. You get a key for your bedroom door, which you can lock. This is a small room that faces back of building; very quiet. Newly renovated, including kitchen and bathroom, which Mike cleans.
- Mike, my cousin, lives here. He's a normal guy, 37 years old. He's responsible, very friendly, nice guy, so don't worry. He's "chill". He has lived in Chicago, Philadelphia, and now New York. He loves golf and poker and tennis and all sports!
- 2nd floor, faces back of building. No elevator/lift.
- This is not a luxury listing. This is an authentic, classic NYC tenement building. We promise you'll love it!
- Please see the FLOORPLAN provided in the pictures.
- 1 block from subway/metro and bus. Near the F, J, M, Z trains.
.

The room is completely yours, private. We won't bother you! (Though the bathroom and kitchen and common areas are shared).... ....... Unless you'd like some company? We would love to spend some time together (not at your apartment) and get lunch, dinner or drinks, so we can show you what we love about our city! :-)

The Neighborhood

This is the "Lower East Side" of Manhattan. It's such an interesting neighborhood. Ten years ago, it was not considered very attractive, but there has been so much change! It is now considered one of the sexiest and attractive neighborhoods in NYC! So many bars and restaurants and cafes! And there are galleries and museums EVERYWHERE. You'll love the "vibe" the "feel" of this place!

  • We had a very nice stay with Mike.
The room was very very little but we expected it so it was not i big issue.
The fact that there is almost no sunlight coming in the apartment is a pity,
Otherwise, everything was clean, the location is really great and Mike is a very nice host!

  • good place to stay. close to F line.

  • I stayed in the small room for more than week with my girlfriend. Flat was nice clean with everything what you need and our room was small like we expected. Location of the flat is perfect, in chinatown close to Manhattan bridge and subway is just few minutes from flat.
Mike was nice and helpful host. But we didnt have to much time to know more about each other.
Con: There is almost no daylight in the room :-(
But definately I will recommend you this room for short sta.

    Thank you Mike

  • The flat is ok if you stay for a short cut of time. The room is small but the bed is good.
Mike is a nice guy, helpful.
You will have to share the bathroom and the kitchen with others guests but it's ok.
It could be just a little bit more clean. But for that price it feels good to have somewhere to sleep in NYC !

  • Great location for us travelling on a budget. Within walking distance of Little Italy, The 9/11 memorial, Staten Island Ferry and very easy Subway to everything else. The apartment had everything we needed to cook and was well air- conditioned (a blessing with 100 degrees outside) Mike was very informative. Thanks!

  • We had a great time in NYC. Mike's a good host, the apartment was exactly what we had expected. A small, but clean room with towels provided. Location great (next to subway). Very good option if you're looking for a good and not too standard place in Manhattan.

  • Me and my son stayed in the small room and it was nice. Mike is a really friendly host. He has a talent for taking care of guest. Very open and nice and helpful. The apartment is nice and we made scrambled eggs and toast and other stuf for breakfast and it was no problem with that. Lots of food stores around the house.

  • We had a great stay! The room is small, yes, but clean and exactly as advertised. Perfect if you're traveling light and need a place to come home to at the end of the day. Mike was very helpful if we needed anything.

    ==================================================
Mike is a great host and we can rely on him. Flat and room in adequation with the pictures but from the windows there is a view on a a wall but we are just in the flat to sleep....
The flat is well located: 1min by walk (metro station F), 5min by walk to Chinatown and 10min in metro to go to Times Square.
Very good price/quality ratio! If we go back to NYC, we will not hesitate at all to spend time at Mike's place again!
