The Blue Heron is a charming home located on a river. Our hosts, Gail & John, were friendly and very accommodating, and we all found them to be interesting conversationalists. They made us breakfast every morning, and a tasty breakfast it was. At night, there were crickets, cicadas, tree-frogs and fireflies, which we enjoyed. The neighborhood is residential. It's a half-hour out of the city by car, but easy to find via GPS. One of their distant neighbors liked to party, but it was pretty faint, and I doubt it's a regular thing. This was in early August. There was no air conditioning, but the breeze was cool and constant and we wouldn't have used it if it was there. The shower was cozy, but the water was hot and well-pressured. There was free wi-fi, which worked very well. We tended to get back around 11 at night, and there was no problem with that.

Our host stayed up late (a little after 11pm) to greet us and take us to our room. Gail and John are wonderful, interesting people. We have stayed with them many times and would always come back when we are in Indy. Their room is great for our family and they have a beautiful house and neighborhood. Gail is very accommodating to all dietary needs and we've always had a wonderful breakfast.

The location was ideal for our stay. We were in town for a baseball tournament so we spent very little time at the house. Breakfast was provided at our convenience and they were accommodating for all requests.

Lovely place, lovely hosts! I'd recommend "Blue Heron B&B" to anybody. Gail and Paul are gracious hosts. They gave us a huge and delicious breakfast served with friendly conversation. They seemed genuinely interested in our reasons for visiting, what we wanted to see, and any needs we might have. The room is a "mother-in-law" apartment with its own entrance. The house is in a wooded park-like setting, a quiet cul-de-sac right on the river. We could take our coffee down on the dock and just watch the birds. Lovely all around!
