My husband and I stayed at the Pearl for a weekend away to celebrate our anniversary. It was a gem in a great neighborhood! We loved walking to the shops and restaurants in Nulu which were just a block away. We were close to downtown and Bardstown as well. Rik was very accommodating and staying at Pearl made our trip feel even more relaxing. It is a very large space but still feels intimate and cozy. Thank you Rik!
The Nulu Pearl was great! My wife and I spent our 5 year anniversary in Louisville and didn't want to stay in a boring old hotel. You can rent Rik's place for the same price as a quality hotel room. The 125 year old building is beautiful. You feel very safe as its a nice part of town. You are 1 block North of the Market/Nulu district with amazing shops and eaterys. You are about a mile from downtown and about a half mile from the waterfront park which has biking, statues, a walking bridge to Indiana and more. You are also a quick drive from Bardstown rd. Which is a couple miles of shops, restaurants and brewerys. I would tell my own mother to stay here so I would definitely recommend it to anyone and everyone. Rik is helpful and available at all times and responds in a timely manner.
Rik is a great host. We communicated by phone and text way before my trip. The place; "awesome", I mean, the pictures do not begin to show the uniqueness of the place. Close to everything within walking distance, yet accessible to the interstate if you want to "cross the bridge". I will definitely return.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Pearl. The apartment is even lovelier in person! Rik was great with communication and recommendations which makes him an ideal host. I am so glad we chose to stay in NuLu rather than the hotels downtown. The neighborhood has a much better vibe, and it helped us have a very enjoyable time in Louisville.
Rik was the perfect host. Responsive, considerate, and timely. His apartment is beautiful and feels like home. I highly recommend staying with Rik if you have the chance!
Check in was very easy. Rick has an amazing place in NuLu within walking distance of a ton of great shops and restaurants. It is also within walking distance to downtown. Rick was very helpful in suggesting several places for food and music at our request. The accommodations are beautiful and the historic (125 year old building) is very well maintained! We loved our time at Ricks place and would return again without hesitation!
