Our comfortable two bedroom apartment perfectly located in the heart of downtown has a true city feeling! It comfortably sleeps 4, and could sleep up to 6. Enjoy your own kitchen with all amenities included. Easy access to Trolley line for logistics.
The Exchange Building, completed in 1910 and listed in the National Register of Historic Places, was refitted in 1996 to house 202 attractive efficiencies, one and two bedroom apartments, penthouses, and handicap equipped units. While the building has undergone a series of renovations, every effort has been made to preserve its historic features, such as the original mosaic tiles, an early-1900’s era Tennessee marble staircase, the elaborate plasterwork, and the granite surfaces. The towering marble ceilings of the lobby exude the elegance of downtown living.
Located in the heart of the Downtown Neighborhood – near the nightlife, restaurants, and shopping – our apartments are the ideal home base for exploring the city. Living in a 19-story skyscraper allows a breathtaking view of the Mississippi River. Walk outside and explore the rich, dense neighborhood. Fine dining is offered within blocks at renowned restaurants such as Rendezvous!, The Majestic Grille, or Flights. Enjoy a pint at the neighborhood Irish pub, The Brass Door, or make the three-minute drive to Beale Street and relish in its famous bars such as Silky O’Sullivans, Alfred’s, or Bardog Tavern. You could also take the trolley to Beale St, to the Pyramid, or around the downtown area, since there is a trolley stop a block away.
Several of the units located on the higher floors provide our residents a spectacular view. Units come with a kitchen, fully equipped with refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee machine, oven/stove, pots/pans, and dishes.
A laundry room with coin-operated machines and a gym on the top floor.
This particular apartment is a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom unit located on the 16th floor. Large windows allow a grand view of the surrounding city from every room of the unit, including the bedroom. Its wide and open living room area is perfect for gatherings or for just kicking back and relaxing.
There are public metered spots all around the building. Since parking is not always available, we provide parking passes for a nearby parking garage (1 block away) at the price of $10/day. Note that these prices are non-negotiable since the garage is operated by a separate business.

The check in was very speedy and it was a good surprise to have help getting our bags upstairs. The apartment has minimal decor but was clean. The apartment is in a great neighborhood and very close to everything. My family and I loved the apartment and would most definitely come back again!
Easy check in, courteous staff, and great location. Beds, linens, and furnishings are of low quality. 1 trashcan, tiny towels, and no broom, iron, or ironing board. Location is tough to beat, so if you are just looking for a place to sleep this is it. For upscale accommodations look elsewhere.
Very easy to communicate with and was accommodating to a last min request without any problems. It was convent spot for walking to quite a few areas of Memphis. I'll be back!
Nice two bed option in excellent location. Did see a few roaches, but all in all, economically speaking, a good short term option.
Great location, apartment was just as described. Check in and out was seamless. Would stay here again.
Check-in was very easy and the location is great! Parking is $8 for the day on the next block, or you can try to find street meter parking. The apt is close enough to Beale St to walk there but far enough that it isn't noisy at night. On the next block, in a little alley, is Charles Vergos' Rendezvous, where I had the best bbq ever! I highly recommend checking that place out! Overall, I had a great stay at Sardor's place.
True case of 'you get what you paid for'!
The location is perfect and the rolm owner wquickly responded to our last minute booking...but the building was pretty delapitated...or atleast our floor was. Room is furnished with the very basics. No help with toiletries in sight, just a bunch of dirty soap despencers. Everything was bought extra cheaply from walmart with stickers entact. The woman you are suppose to call to get help with getting into the building seemed annoyed that she had to answer her phone for us. The next morning we tried to call and say we were headed out and she rejected our call. Bizarre experience over all.

I was born in Uzbekistan and raised in Memphis. I'm the middle child, with 2 older brothers and 2 younger sisters -- and recently a 4 time uncle (& soon a 5 time Uncle!!!!)! I've been fortunate to travel the world in my early years and learned a lot about the different cultures around the world. I enjoy learning about geopolitical history, architecture, and technological advancements that benefit the myriad societies around the globe. To me, Memphis is an exciting city that competes with the great cities of the world as a worthwhile stop for play and leisure. Allow me to host you in my apartments, located in the historic Exchange Building in downtown Memphis.
UPDATE: Due to the increased traffic, I hired additional help to make the check-in process more convenient for my guests. The lobby now has a staffed Frontdesk, where you will be able to get any assistance, should you need it. I hope to see you while you're in Memphis, but I do travel a lot and sometimes I miss out on meeting my guests personally. I hope you have a wonderful stay at The Exchange and please don't hesitate to contact me via Airbnb should you need anything.
