Interaction with Guests
We are looking forward to hearing about your travels! At least one of us is always around.
The neighborhood is home to mostly middle-class families, busy during the day and (usually) quiet at night. The house is a few blocks away from the Genocide Museum, and a 10-15 min walk from the Russian market. There are several cheap, local eating options on the block, and lots of Western cafes and restaurant in BKK1 and Russian market area, a short tuktuk or bike ride away.
You can easily get around by moto, tuktuk or bicycle.
Other Things to Note
There is one big bed in the room, and if needed, we can put a queen size mattress into the room as well.
This was the perfect experience! Irina and and Michael were both amazing host. Being a loner I was a bit hesitant on renting a room in a house... So, glad I did! It was very private if I wanted and so comfortable. I definitely would stay again.
I stayed at the place for 5 nights. It's a great room, in a big, nice, clean house. They have a hugh terrace and the room even has it's own balcony. Everything was like it was said in the description!
I really liked that place, highly recommended and definitively worth the price.
To Irina and Michael's credit: the pictures don't do the room justice - the room is fantastically curated. The furniture, from the locking dresser, to the beautifully simple dark brown mahogany writing desk facing the window, makes you feel more sophisticated than you actually are (me anyway).
Irina and Michael are the gods of small things: the kitchen baskets and fridge shelves, the stockpile of toiletries you wish you were smart enough to keep handy, a Facebook group within the house that keeps us all afloat on city and house matters, Irina even dropped me a Google Map pin as I made my way to the house by tuk-tuk - I didn't even know you could do that. Hip with the times.
Moving to a new city is scary. Very scary. Staying with Irina and Michael - I already felt like I had fwends in a city where no one knows my name. Yes, I regretted not booking long-term with them sooner. They have made my first time using AirBNB and living in Cambodia, an absolutely joyful experience. I am addicted.
I stayed here for a little over two months and loved it. The house is so perfect, clean and very welcoming by Irina and Michael and also the other people that come in and out through airb&b. The location is great, there is always a tuk tuk available right outside of the house. My room was very private and I felt like I was home in it. Thank you Irina and Michael for such a great experience. I can't wait to come back.
This house is an amazing place. I stayed here for 6 weeks working and living. It has a rooftop deck, clean bathrooms in each room, big beds, a/c in each room, kitchen dinning area, and a living area with TV and movies if you want to just veg.
The roommates are so welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. They make you feel right at home.
Irina, Micheal, Mackis and Zhengyu have become my life long friends.
The neighborhood was quiet and easy to find. It is in a great part of town, close to markets and restaurants and cafés.
Truely an amazing experience.
I had a really good time staying at Irina's house.
The room is really big, with it's own bathroom. It's almost like a small apartment inside this big house, which is really pleasant and well located in Phnom Penh. The neighbourhood is calm and central at the same time.
People where very nice and friendly. I had a great time sharing stories with everybody. Definitely a place to stay in if you're planning to go to Phnom Penh.
