Single room in quiet residential neighbourhood. It's a 5 minutes walk to the bus stop of the airport bus, from where it's a 15 minutes ride to either the airport or the city centre. Free on-street parking for those travelling by car.
The room is at the back side of the building, away from any noise coming from the street. The view is over the gardens and fields.
Free WiFi, free on-street parking, shared bathroom and kitchen.
Interaction with Guests
I'm living in the apartment myself, in the other bedroom. Guests are free to make their own breakfast (food will be available).
The neighbourhood is a 1930s development, north of the city centre.
The easiest way to reach the property is by airport bus (line 727). It's just a 15 minutes ride, coming from either the airport or the city centre. From the bus stop, it's just a 5 minutes walk. Apart from the airport bus, there's also several other buses stopping (both Stagecoach and First).
Other Things to Note
Although there are some places to eat at both ends of the street, a wider selection is available in the city centre.
The accommodation is non-smoking, and not open for pets. I'd like to ask guests to be a bit moderate with alcohol (for a boozy night out, some hotels in the city centre are better suited than the residential neighbourhood I live in) and to remove their shoes when entering the flat. As I have a daytime job, check-in will usually be between 6pm and 10pm. Also, all guests are asked to show a photo ID (passport or drivers licence).
Originally from Amsterdam, I've been living in Aberdeen since 2012, where I work at the university as a contract researcher. Before that, I've been Living in Luxembourg for 5 years. A side effect of working abroad for a while is that one picks up quite some languages. In my case, it's Dutch (native), English, German and some French.
