The Space

Come stay in our beautiful home!

If you're not familiar with Bushwick, check out the new guidebook we wrote to our neighborhood! If you click on maps you'll see it, and this will give you a good idea of the awesome area of New York City that we live in.

Also, there are more reviews of our other property that you can check out if you like- the praise people have given us reflects how we treat our guests, and our other space as well as this one. The two lofts are right next to each other on the same floor in the same building. We rent the other one more which is why it has more reviews.

LOFT: Our place is a beautiful and sunny 1050 square ft 1 bedroom loft with stunning views of Manhattan through a bank of large windows (8 in total in our place) and a balcony. Amenities include high speed wireless internet, printer, flat screen TV across from our bed with a BluRay player that can access all kinds of online content including Netflix, and cable television. The bedroom has a killer cozy king size loft bed. We say the place sleeps 4 which means 2 in the bedroom and 1 on the couch and one on a queen sized air bed, or could be two on the air bed. The kitchen is HUGE with a 12 foot granite island that is perfect for cooking feasts and dinner parties, it can seat 12 or more people comfortably. We have a regular stove/oven, full size stainless steel fridge, toaster oven, microwave, electric kettle, high end espresso maker, bread maker, mixer, food processor, and a whole set of nice pots, pans and knives for you to use. We also provide fresh linens and towels. We are in love with our place and rent it out when we're away! Everyone who sees our space agrees that it is one of the nicest lofts in the neighborhood.

LOCATION: In our opinion, Bushwick is Brooklyn's coolest neighborhood, and people around the city and world are starting to agree. Its exploding with incredible street art (check out the Bushwick Collective) and people come from all over the world to see it. Its got the perfect mix of amenities and culture and hasn't become over popular and overcrowded (yet). We live near a bunch of art/theater spaces, and within a block or two there are plenty of coffee shops, cafes, restaurants, bars, a large 24 hour health food supermarket, and a huge park is a 1/2 block away. We could go on and on but have a look yourself at the area around the Jefferson stop on the L train. We're less than a block from that train which gets you to Manhattan in 10-15 min, Williamsburg in 5 min. Parking is also easy on our street. We rarely have a problem finding space for our car on our block which is a bit of a rarity in NYC.

We look forward to hosting you!

  • I just stayed at Andrew and Meagan's loft for 5 days while I was working in New York, and it was just the perfect creative space and I felt right at home! Their neighbor, Juliet, let me in and showed me around and was available if anything came up. The loft was bright, open and clean, with surround sound and Apple Airplay so you could play music wirelessly from anywhere in the apartment. A few of my creative friends and myself worked on music and design from the long island in the center of the kitchen over the weekend, and there was plenty of seating and outlets for us tech-savvy kids. The lofted bed was awesome, and I worked from there for many hours during my stay and felt like I was a little kid in a tree fort! Around the corner is a 24 hour store, a liquor & wine shop, plenty of bars and restaurants, and the L train is less than a block away. Get on grubhub for some good takeout delivery restaurants. I would definitely stay here again - beautiful spot and so close to everything!

  • Andrew and Meagan's apartment in Bushwick is stunning, with one of the best views of the Manhattan skyline you could ask for. The living area is spacious, comfortable and also very clean on arrival. There is an array of cool local bars and shops whilst the subway station to downtown manhattan is located literally on the corner of the street. Thanks for the perfect stay!

  • Me and my family had a fantastic time in Andrew and Meagan's Loft. The place is gorgeous, just like in the pictures. It's spacious and cozy at the same time; decorated with great taste and it has a great view over Manhattan, from the Loft or the building roof top. Also, the kitchen had everything we could possibly need to cook at home. It was very easy to communicate with Andrew, who received us warmly in the Loft, with Bob Marley as background music ;)
The neighbourhood looked weird at first sight but after knowing it better, you realize it is very friendly, with nice Delis, Coffee Shops and Grocery Shops within walking distance. The subway is less then 5 min walk away and it took us 20-30 min to get to Manhattan.
    We would definitely go back.

  • The loft is just as great as it looks on the photos, its light and airy with great views of the city and everything you need for a great stay. There is load of cool stuff going on around the loft and Andrew and Meagan's guide really helps find it all. I would definitely recommend the loft to anyone as a great place to stay to check out Brooklyn and New York.

  • We had a wonderful stay in Andrew's spacious loft for a month. Transport is close and it's a short ride to manhattan or Williamsburg, but there are also plenty of bars/cafes /restaurants in the area, and there seem to be new ones coming up daily.
In terms of the loft, good kitchen and shower, and beautiful views of manhattan. Andrew was also kind enough to let us stay an extra night at no charge due to hurricane sandy.

  • Spectacular, bright and huge loft, spacious and very comfortable! Absolutely gorgeous view of Manhattan at night. Very close to L train, a lot of shops and cafes around. Andrew and Meagan was very kindly and friendly hosts. We have no problem with check in and check out. This is probably best place in Brooklyn!

About
I am a photographer who travels regularly for work, and when it coincides with a time that my girlfriend Meagan will also be away, we rent out our spaces. Meagan is a doula and she is studying to become a midwife. My work has taken me all over the world covering social and political issues as a photojournalist and I am part owner of a photography studio which is one of the spaces we rent when its not in use.
