This beautifully restored space will grant you immediate access to the cities best food market where all the locals shop and where you may occasionally catch the workers practicing their falsetto. Mercato Sant'Ambrogio is where you will find the freshest food in town that you can take back to your home in the city to create a wonderful Tuscan meal.

The apartment in located (email hidden)ly, exciting part of town with famous restaurants and some of the best boutiques around.

This beautiful home is also close to all of the main tourist attractions, like the Uffizi gallery and Palazzo Vecchio and just steps away from Piazza Santa Croce.

It is situated in the back of the building on the second floor so you can close off all the noise of the city when you enter and relax in the peace and quiet of your own home. There is a gorgeous balcony facing the interior courtyard where you can sip a glass of Chianti while planning your next adventure.

The bedroom has a king size bed below and a full size bed in the loft above. Everything you need for a comfortable stay will be provided when you arrive.

As a former tour guide I am always happy to offer tips and suggestions to help you make the most of your visit to Florence.

  • This a great apartment at a great location! Perfect historic views at walking distance. Sara was already waiting for us when we arrived and had even arranged a welcome food pack. Thanks Sara for a great stay and if we run the marathon next year again, we'll be back.

  • This was a clean, organised and well positioned apartment. Sara was spot on time which was great as we were on a very tight schedule. There was no external noise and we slept vv well.

  • The reservation was canceled 34 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.

  • Great location, comfortable apartment with nice area outside to soak up sun and feel like a local. Everything very easy and very attentive and helpful host.

  • The apartment is very vote, smaller than expected and no AC, Florence was hot during our stay so the small patio was very nice. Location, location, location.. We could walk everywhere, all the Galleries and Museums were so close. One drawback is after all that walking the apartment is on the 2 nd floor, or 47 steps ( my husband counted). The upstairs loft has a small stairway, great for kids but adults might find it precarious to go down at night if they need to go to the bathroom. Sara was very gracious and left us a basket if noodles, sauces and wine. a time when it is less hot would be nice due to the lack of AC, but you cannot beat that LOCATION..

  • Sara's apartment was perfect for our 3 night stay in Florence and we would highly recommend it to others. It is within walking distance of all major attractions and has the most fantastic food market just round the corner - a must for anyone who wants to eat proper Italian style during their stay. The apartment itself was very clean and reasonably equipped. We enjoyed using the outdoor balcony for breakfast and anti-pasti of an evening. Sara herself was very helpful. We had good communication with her in advance (an answer to every question!) and she met us on arrival to show us the ropes. We would certainly go back again.

  • Perfect location and awesome apartment, we loved it! We had two incredible dinners steps from the apartment. We arrived much later than expected, and Sara and her husband were very gracious about it. We would stay there again.

  • My wife, daughter and I arrived in Firenze by train and then by taxi to Via Ghibellina. Within a few minutes, Sara and her husband arrived to welcome us into the apartment and give us a tour. The location is hard to beat, within easy walking of all the major attractions of the city, including the Duomo, the Palazzo Vecchio, and the Uffizi Gallery. Three blocks away is an open air market with the most amazing selections of any kind of fresh food you could ever want. We used the place for 4 days as our base while we explored the city. We enjoyed cooking the food we bought at the market and eating on the patio, soaking in the sounds of Italian life. Sara provides all the standard household basics, and started us off with a basket of pasta, a bottle of wine, and other goodies. She was very responsive when we left a phone message with questions that came up.

You should know that there are a couple of flights of stairs to climb, in case that is an issue. The beds (including the loft bed our daughter used) were comfortable, making for good nights sleeping. The apartment is small, but fine for a couple or (as with us) one other person. We found with the pleasant June weather that we spent a lot of time on the patio, reading, eating, and relaxing.

We're hoping to make a return trip to Firenze someday and would happily use Sara's apartment again.
