Four thumbs up! (2 from me, 2 from hubby). This room has a private deck that over looks the harbor, and the water is a stone's throw away. The room was open, airy, bright, clean, and very comfortable. The on-suite private bathroom was amazing! Harriet and Mike were super welcoming and helpful, yet gave us our space as well. We cannot WAIT to stay here again!
From the moment we walked through the door, Mike made us feel most welcome. The upstairs bed+bathroom were just as they appear in the photos: an immaculate haven, perfect for getting away and relaxing. The next brisk morning as we made breakfast, Mike got a fire going--making the living area all the more cozy. I even played one of Mike's many guitars. He and Harriet saw us off with smiley faces. I highly recommend staying here.
We enjoyed our stay in Half Moon Bay at the Seahouse room #1. The views were amazing and very serene. The room was very light & airy with generous space and the bathroom was very beautiful. Mike & Harriet were wonderful hosts and made us feel very welcome and comfortable.
The room and bath are exactly as described and the location is within walking distance of a variety of restaurants and the pier. It was great for our one night stay in Half Moon Bay.
We had an amazing time. The views were spectacular from the room/deck and the it was so serene. We enjoyed our hikes and any of the restaurants in the area. We started our honeymoon here and when went to Carmel and ended in San Fransisco. We agree that our visit here was our favorite part of the trip. We will definitely come again in the future. Mike and Harriet were wonderful hosts. They allowed us to settle in and enjoy our vacation, and we felt welcome from the minute we arrived. Thanks so much!

About the Host, .. H + M
We are coast loving people. We, Harriet and Mike have lived on the coast for about twenty years and have five grown daughters, three of which we raised in this house. Mike is a kayak instructor and certified alchemical hypnotherapist, while Harriet is a health practitioner. For fun.....We walk on the beach every day and we love the weather, be it sunny or foggy. We love the ocean and regularly get in it, either on a kayak or a boogie board. The new water sport Harriet is excited to try is stand-up paddle boarding. When we go on vacation, we take more road trips than flights and tend to stay on the coast. Mike plays bass guitar and we both like flamenco music. We have a little dog (don't tell him he's little), who is part jack russel and blue heeler. He is older now and much more quiet. Lately we have been enjoying the Pie Ranch Barn Dance. Its a little rowdy, a lot of fun and anyone can go.We are very friendly and we welcome you to utilize our wealth of information of the area. We also appreciate the retreat and solitude that this natural setting can offer.
