ABOUT ME
Welcome, I'm Franca a creative and graphic designer but also owner of a gorgeus B&B located in the middle of the historical centre of Roma called ZOLILLA.
What is the meaning of this curious name? Well, the name its composed by "Zoli" (my last name) and "Godzilla". In fact the mascotte "Zolilla" is a kind of purple dinosaur, by the way, LILLA in italian means lilac!
I'm crazy for Japanese culture and food, in fact I study Japanese language. I love also design, art, books and electronic music.....and yes, I love to travel too. I travel very often across Europe, America and Japan.
I have a twin sister who helps me with this wonderful work.
We really like do sports, cooking and eating great food...we are italian!

  • Zolilla B&B is a wonderful place to stay. Not only is it in an extremely central location, it is a comfortable and welcoming place -- two things rarely found together in Rome. The room was very clean, well decorated, and spacious. The host was very helpful and friendly, despite our delayed arrival. We recommend Zolilla B&B to anyone planning to visit Rome.

  • This was a really nice trip to Roma and a perfect stay at Franca’s castle “Zolilla B&B”! Perfect starting position for all the trips in Roma, really quiet and clean rooms and everything was comfortable and easy. Franca is very nice and friendly and has good tips for the first trips in the neighborhood of Monti!

  • The B&B is in a great location for tourists, about 10-15 minutes by foot from the Coliseum, 5 minutes from the Cavour metro stop, 5 minutes from Termini Train station, and there is a bus stop (bus #75) right outside the front door. The room was comfortable and pleasant and very clean. The owners are very nice and speak English and I met several nice people (other guests) from all over the world while there. I would definitely stay there again.

  • We stayed at Zolilla B & B (Room 1) for 4 nights and loved our stay. The B & B is very centrally located and we were able to walk to all major sites. It is 10 min away from the Termini Main Train Station and 5 min away from the Cavour Metro Station.

Chiara was very nice to go through the map with us when we arrived. Most importantly, she took her time to show us where to get delicious and reasonably charged meals.

The kitchen is very well stocked with utensils, bowls, cups, etc. Chiara will always diligently drop by every night to prepare the next day's breakfast for us.

Wifi worked extremely well, rooms were cleaned everyday.

We totally enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this B & B.

  • We spend four nights at Zolilla and had a wonderful time. Everything was as expected or even better.. Even though the b&b is located in a very central location close to everything and on a busy street the room is extremely quiet and spotless. It is wonderfully decorated and spacious. A small breakfast is served in the kitchen and presented in a lovely way including real Nespresso and yoghurt! The b&b is located in the Monti area with its numerous cosy streets were you can experience the real italian atmosphere and is near Termini metro station which links you to every other spot in town in no time. We will certainly stay here again whenever we visit Rome in the future. Thanks again Chiara & Franca, your b&b is wonderful!

  • We stayed at Zolilla B & B for 3 nights (in room 1) and loved our stay. The B & B is very centrally located. We walked to all major sites including the Vatican (about 3 miles away but completely doable). There is easy access to two metro stops (Termini on Red and Blue line and Cavour on the red line) but it's also an easy, direct 10 min walk from Termini station.
The room is on a very busy road but very close to smaller streets that have less touristy restaurants and shops.
Each morning a great little breakfast was laid out in a nice arrangement. The kitchen is very well stocked with utensils, bowls, cups, etc. There is also a large assortment of teas! She also let us know that we were more than welcome to use the fridge to store any food items.
Wifi worked extremely well, rooms were very clean. The apartment also felt very secure as you're really up 3 flights of steps and the main door has a major deadbolt lock on it.
We very much enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this B & B.

  • Zolilla B&B truly made my first Italian experience an exceptional one! The hostesses spoke English (as well as other languages) and our communication was easy and responses were quick. We frequently has for recommendations on places to eat--delicious restaurants within walking distance of the B&B--and unique attractions. They were wonderful with directions and instructions for our stay.

Upon arrival, we were welcomed, shown to our accommodations--the decorations were colorful, fun and in great taste--and given helpful suggestions for places to dine. Each morning, a bountiful breakfast awaited us, including coffee, various teas, pastries, yogurt--and it varied by the day. The B&B is one of the rare gems located in an ideal location--close enough to walk everywhere (i.e. Colosseum, train station, restaurants, etc.), but far enough to have a peaceful, quiet night. I stayed in Room 1 (orange), which had a huge bed and private bathroom, which I loved, but would probably have been happy in any of the rooms at Zolilla. I felt safe and had plenty of personal space.

It felt like we had stayed with friends during our time in Rome and the standards were set very high. It has been a pleasure working with Zolilla and I would highly recommend anyone visiting Rome to stay here.

  • My fiancé and I stayed here for three days on our honeymoon.
We were greeted right when we arrived, which was wonderful after a long plane and train ride! The room was very clean and good size! They were cleaned for us everyday which was nice. It was very quiet and the rooms had great shutters which made the room very dark and perfect for sleeping! We had breakfast laid out
For us in the communal kitchen which was a very nice touch. The location was great! I would definitely stay here again!
