This fully detached 1 bedroom-1 bathroom Craftsman guesthouse is the perfect place to stay while in Los Angeles. Centrally located in West Hollywood, one of the safest and most pedestrian-friendly neighborhoods in the city, you're only minutes away from the best of what LA has to offer. Some of the hottest restaurants, bars and clubs are within walking distance. First class amenities in this professionally decorated unit include granite counters, hardwood floors, crown molding, recessed lighting and brand new stainless steel appliances.
ABOUT THE GUESTHOUSE:
This stylish house is quietly nestled off the street by a rose garden. It is fully detached--no neighbors or shared walls--and gets great natural light. It is one of two guesthouses behind the main house on the property, in which I live. I always respect everyone's privacy, though should you need something or have a question, I'm not far away.
The bedroom has a brand new, comfortable queen bed with high quality linens. The large closet has a brand new washer and dryer, so laundry day is always an easy one. There's an iron and ironing board in there for your convenience, as well.
Save some money by cooking at home in the fully appointed kitchen, which includes a dishwasher, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, toaster, blender, mixer and chef's knifes.
The black and white "Old Hollywood" style bathroom is tiled floor to ceiling and has a beautiful shower/tub with satin nickel fixtures, plenty of hot water and great water pressure. Yes, there's a hair-dryer in there for you, too.
Other features include recessed lights on dimmers throughout, a heating and air conditioning unit, a 42" flat screen HD tv with basic cable, an internet connected Blu-Ray DVD player and high speed wifi.
We also try to be green, so we use energy efficient appliances and recycle what materials we can.
ABOUT TRANSPORTATION AND/OR PARKING:
A majority of our guests use Uber or Lyft to get around. They are very inexpensive here in LA, and typically only a few minutes away at any given moment. If you'll be renting a car, we provide a hangtag for street parking here in the restricted parking neighborhood. While there is no dedicated parking spot, there's often a space out front or within one block in any direction. We'll tell you the best/easiest places to look once you arrive.
ABOUT THE LOCATION:
West Hollywood is located between Beverly Hills and Hollywood. It is a prime location for anyone visiting LA and central to just about everything.
Attractions nearby include theme parks (Universal Studios, Disneyland, Magic Mountain, etc), live entertainment (Hollywood Bowl, Pantages, Laugh Factory, etc), tourist destinations (The Hollywood Sign, Kodak Theatre, Hollywood Walk of Fame, The Sunset Strip, etc), outdoor activities (Santa Monica Beach, Hiking the canyons, Malibu, etc), world class shopping (Rodeo Dr, Melrose, The Grove/Farmer’s Market, etc) and so much more.
All the major studios are within a 10 mile radius. LAX airport is 13 miles to the south, Burbank airport is 9 miles north. UCLA and AFI are close by, as are Cedars-Sinai Hospital and the Pacific Design Center.

Interaction with guests
I always respect the privacy of my guests. I live in the main/front house on the property, so I'm never far if there's an issue or you simply have a question about something. Airbnb message tends to be the preferred method of communicating by guests in the past, and that certainly works well for me!
Other things to note
I've included menus for some favorite local food delivery places, right in the binder by the front door. Other food delivery options include the apps GrubHub and Postmates, and online at Yummy.
Also, there are starter amounts of laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, toilet paper and a few coffee pods.
To our international guests: please ensure that you'll have a way to communicate once you land in the US (through text, Airbnb messenger or phone call). That way, you can contact me if your plans change, if there's a significant delay, or if you just need to reach me (of if I need to reach you). Thanks in advance.
We only accept bookings from verified profiles, to keep things safe for everyone. We'll give you keys in person. Please give me a 30-60 minute window for when you will arrive, so that I can arrange my schedule (when possible) to greet you in person and answer any questions you may have.
This is a non-smoking home. The city prohibits loud noise after 10p and before 8a, we generally try not to upset the neighbors. It's best for everyone. Along those lines, please do not pull roll-along suitcases down the concrete driveway before 8am or after 10pm. The neighbors thank you.
No foreign articles in the toilet please, as guests will be responsible for any costs to resolve plumbing issues.
Of course, no subletting the guesthouse. No tenancy is conferred. Any illegal activity is grounds for immediate eviction, with forfeiture of all payments. We've never needed any of this, but we put it here just to protect ourselves.
At check-out, please make sure there are no dirty dishes in the sink or on the counters.
Generally speaking, please treat our home as you would your own. We appreciate it. We've been lucky and had some great guests so far and we'll hopefully keep that trend going! Thanks.

Originally from a suburb of Washington DC, I lived in Manhattan for several years and then switched coasts to sunny, beautiful Los Angeles. I love to travel (wish I got to do it much more frequently), especially to Europe.
Italy, France, Germany and London were some favorites, though I'm still adding to that list.
