Luxury Home minutes walk from Galway city centre. The house is in a wonderful location & has mature plum trees in the secluded back garden. The back garden gate opens onto a canal & pedestrian walkway leading you, in minutes, either to the city, Claddagh beach, Galway Cathederal or the city's NUIG university.
Other facilities a short walk away include Spanish Arch & Galway Museum, Latin Quarter, Volvo Ocean Race, Roisin Dubh & Monroe's (for music), Salthill (Ireland's longest promenade), Druid & Town Hall Theatre, An Taibhdhearc (Irish Language Theatre), The Claddagh (i.e Heart in Hands Claddagh Ring) and St. Nicholas' Collegiate Church (established 1320).
There are loads of fantastic restaurants with 10 minutes of our house and most are really affordable. I read recently in the local paper that we
live in the dining district :)
Galway is full of water, whether in the rivers, canals, beaches or in the skies! Yes, it rains alot but its worth it! The house was built in 1928 but recently renovated and has a lot of luxury comforts: great music system, wifi, amazingly big bath, home cinema screen 8Ft (2.4M), peat turf fire, LGBT friendly, great hosts!!! ;0) who love meeting new people.
See our other listings (on the panel to the right hand side) if you would like to book either the whole house or else the master bedroom
Guests have access to the whole house (except our private bedroom of course)
We usually interact quite a bit with guests, if they like to interact. Some people like to do their own this and this too is cool
We live in a lovely old part of Galway close to the city centre and the historic claddagh fishing village. We are 10 minutes walk from the beach - which is lovely

This was a fantastic house in a fantastic location with fantastic hosts. The spare room was wonderfully cosy with a firm enough bed. The soft cotton sheets certainly kept the cold nights at bay. Pam and Pars' generosity was such that sharing a toilet and bathroom was no problem at all. Being able to use the kitchen was a real bonus if you don't want to spend all your money eating out and want to stay healthy. As for the location it was a quick walk along the canal to the University, a short stroll into the city centre, the promenade and sea were moments away and Henry Street offers great entertainment should you want it. And the dog? I was missing mine so was pleased to have another to cuddle.
This was really a 5-star experience for me at all levels. I loved Par and Pam's place in Galway—it was exceptional. I also really fell in love with the both of them—they made me feel so at home. I ended up feeling as if I knew then all my life. I left feeling that I want to know them for the rest of it.
Their place is so central and they are perfect hosts. I love their garden and the birds. I can go on.... and on... and on....
You love feeling homesick? Then staying at Pam&Par's will be quite a disappointment for you. These wonderful, lovely, friendly and incredibly nice people and their cosy home make you feel more than welcome. They know exactly how to create the perfect mixture of personal freedom and pleasant company.
I warmly recommend this accommodation - or better said: home afield.
Par & Pam were absolutely wonderful hosts during my two days in Galway. Their home is beautiful and welcoming, and the guest room is private and comfortable. As a first time visitor to Galway, Par was gracious enough to notate a map of the town with highlights and great places to eat and drink, and all of his suggestions were fantastic. Fast internet, a warm fire in the living room, coffee in the morning, a relaxing bath at night...I really could not have asked for a better experience. I would recommend Par & Pam's home to anyone looking for warm, social, friendly hosts with great insights into the offerings of the town. I look forward to returning!
Par and Pam's home is beautiful and peaceful, in a fantastic location in the heart of Galway. They are both incredibly warm and friendly and gave us some great tips for our stay. And the huge freestanding bath is divine! We would definitely stay again if we find ourselves back in Galway.
I highly recommend staying at this lovely home! The house was funky, clean and very comfortable, plus the location was perfect for walking everywhere. Pam & Par were helpful and kind, calling cabs for me or helping me with recommendations.
Par and Pam were wonderful, full of good tips about Galway, and very flexible with our arrival. Their home is cheerful, spotless, wonderfully decorated, and in the absolute perfect location! I would definitely stay there again and can't recommend them highly enough.
