Luxury Home minutes walk from Galway city centre. The house is in a wonderful location & has mature plum trees in the secluded back garden. The back garden gate opens onto a canal & pedestrian walkway leading you, in minutes, either to the city, Claddagh beach, Galway Cathederal or the city's NUIG university.
Other facilities a short walk away include Spanish Arch & Galway Museum, Latin Quarter, Volvo Ocean Race, Roisin Dubh & Monroe's (for music), Salthill (Ireland's longest promenade), Druid & Town Hall Theatre, An Taibhdhearc (Irish Language Theatre), The Claddagh (i.e Heart in Hands Claddagh Ring) and St. Nicholas' Collegiate Church (established 1320).
There are loads of fantastic restaurants with 10 minutes of our house and most are really affordable. I read recently in the local paper that we
live in the dining district :)
Galway is full of water, whether in the rivers, canals, beaches or in the skies! Yes, it rains alot but its worth it! The house was built in 1928 but recently renovated and has a lot of luxury comforts: great music system, wifi, amazingly big bath, home cinema screen 8Ft (2.4M), peat turf fire, LGBT friendly, great hosts!!! ;0) who love meeting new people.
See our other listings (on the panel to the right hand side) if you would like to book either the whole house or else the master bedroom
Guests have access to the whole house (except our private bedroom of course)
We usually interact quite a bit with guests, if they like to interact. Some people like to do their own this and this too is cool
We live in a lovely old part of Galway close to the city centre and the historic claddagh fishing village. We are 10 minutes walk from the beach - which is lovely

This was a fantastic house in a fantastic location with fantastic hosts. The spare room was wonderfully cosy with a firm enough bed. The soft cotton sheets certainly kept the cold nights at bay. Pam and Pars' generosity was such that sharing a toilet and bathroom was no problem at all. Being able to use the kitchen was a real bonus if you don't want to spend all your money eating out and want to stay healthy. As for the location it was a quick walk along the canal to the University, a short stroll into the city centre, the promenade and sea were moments away and Henry Street offers great entertainment should you want it. And the dog? I was missing mine so was pleased to have another to cuddle.
I spent four days with Pam and Par last week. I felt so welcomed from the moment of my arrival. They live so close to the inner delights of Galway and were happy to share their local secrets of good cafes, restaurants etc. The karma, for want of a better word, within their home is special and I loved to hear them singing. I couldn't recommend it more highly. A very special place.
Pam and Par were amazing hosts. They were very welcoming and helpful, and they gave us a list of good places to eat in Galway which was 100% accurate! Their dog, Red, is very sweet. We loved their beautiful home and felt very comfortable (and the claw-footed bathtub is amazing!) Pam and Par have filled their home with books, music and beautiful artwork and it was a perfect place for us to stay. I would recommend this to anyone visiting Galway!
Our stay in Galway was wonderful. Our hosts Par & Pam were very nice and gave us many ideas on where to go and what to see. We also got a homemade little map, which was very helpful to get around. The house was very nice and cozy, we felt like at home. I would recommend this stay for anyone wanting to visit Galway. Thank you very much!
Par and Pam's was our first stop of a big trip for us, and we could not have chosen better! What a warm and welcoming home in a great location. Comfortable, clean. Yummy cereals and goodies for breakfast. Good coffee. Our only disappointment was that they were quite busy our two days there, as were we, and we didn't see as much of them as we would have liked. But Jerry did get to play a bit of music with Par, and was really glad.
We absolutely loved Par and Pam's place in Galway - it was so homey and comfortable, just what we needed after a long day of travel. Their location is perfectly situated to walk everywhere and Par and Pam gave great suggestions on what to visit and where to eat. Highly recommended!
