The Garden Snuggery is a sunny suite with views across the Valley of the Moon in the heart of Sonoma’s wine country. French doors open onto a terrace overlooking a rambling garden of rosemary, lavender and roses surrounded by redwoods, oaks and fruit trees. A meandering pathway leads through an arbor of grape vines to a vegetable garden below.
A separate entrance and patio on the terrace level of the wine country cottage leads to your retreat complete with a double feather bed and an over-sized claw foot bath tub. Coffee/Tea are included and may be enjoyed in the room, on the terrace or in the garden.
It is a four minute drive/bike to The Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa where restaurants & Spa Facilities await. Within ten minutes you may visit renowned Sonoma Valley Wineries or the Sonoma Plaza with art, music, boutiques & restaurants. Hiking & Biking are also minutes away at Regional and State Parks.
Lonnie, the Proprietress, formerly a Concierge at the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa, will be happy to assist you with your wining and dining reservations. She is, also, a Docent & Guide with Sonoma Hiking Adventures and will direct/guide you to the best hiking trails in the valley.

We very much enjoyed our stay with Lonnie. The room and garden are a little slice of heaven!
My stay at the Snuggery was absolutely phenomenal. Lonnie does an AMAZING job of preparing you completely for your stay, while not smothering you - she gives you your space if you prefer it. :) The space is unbelievably clean, impeccably decorated, and strikingly charming. I will admit, I was concerned about staying in a space that is actually connected to the host's home, but this was a non-issue - so if this is something that concerns you, trust me when I say you really feel like you're on your own. I was in town for a retreat and by the end of the weekend, everyone who stayed at the host resort was jealous of my little space at the Snuggery!
We absolutely LOVED our experience at the Snuggery. Lonnie was there to greet us and she was so pleasant and welcoming.
The room is very private and very nicely appointed. It was very clean and comfortable, and we had plenty of space (I am a notorious over-packer).
I also followed another reviewer's advice and picked up a bunch of stuff from Lush, which made for a lovely bath time experience. The bath was actually really great, but my boyfriend noted that having a shower just for those moments when you want to freshen up quickly was the only thing the whole place needed.
The Snuggery is also in a good location--we weren't far at all from downtown Sonoma, and we were well placed for trips further north to Healdsburg, and east to Napa.
Truly, one of the best stays I've had anywhere and I can't wait to come back!
The room was beautiful and in a quiet street in Sonoma away from the highway and the busy areas of town. Great place if you are looking for a romantic and quiet get-away.
Cute, snug, comfortable, romantic, relaxing - whatever adjective you want to use to describe the Snuggery, use it. It was the perfect spot for my girl and I's weekend in Sonoma. The room is cute. The bed is comfortable. The location is convenient. The bathtub, view and garden setting were romantic and relaxing. See?
Lonnie herself was nothing short but a splendid host. We loved chatting with her. She also gave us plenty of advice and recommendations before and during our stay.
Plus, I clumsily left behind a few articles of clothing and she graciously posted it to me the next day. She's a gem and so is the snuggery.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Lonnie was very helpful with recommendations regarding wineries and restaurants.
No complaints here - everything was great. My husband and I didn't spend a lot of time here, but it was perfect. The bed was comfy, the claw footed bathtub lovely, and there was also a cute little sitting nook. We really like our privacy and like exploring on our own, and Lonnie accommodated. We also really enjoyed the little neighborhood cat who followed us around - he made the stay even more memorable! Lonnie also left us some nice recommendations for local vineyards and wineries and we had a wonderful experience doing a tour nearby. Lastly, the garden area is just lovely. We wished we were able to spend more time to explore the area and enjoy Lonnie's snuggery!
I love the outdoors, particularly hiking in beautiful places. I'm a docent hiking guide with three State Parks in Sonoma County and I am a guide for Sonoma Hiking Adventures. I, also, enjoy bringing more fun & ease into my guest's vacation experience and happily make wining & dining reservations for them.
