Excellent host. Feel really at home. Lots of space. Terrace. Own loft bedroom with sitting area below. Clean and organised. Lovely period building. Gabriga is a joy and privacy is assured. Never will stay in s hotel again!! Really close to the duomo. Hardly any distance to walk at all. Most recommended xx
Gabrigas apartment was in a great location, easy to get to from campo di marte station on foot. He was a helpful host, giving us maps and directions the first night. He has a very interesting apartment with tons of great artwork. We stayed in the loft room (email hidden), which was definitely necessary. We still needed up getting quite a few bites, but other than that it was great.
We felt like home.. Easy approach and confortable room.
Good luck for your artistic life!
This is a fantastic home which is so convenient to the old city and just a few minutes away from the train station and two minutes to the bus stop. It was situated so well and is a gorgeous apartment with high ceilings and in a great neighbourhood. I stayed in the loft room which had a lovely balcony looking out on to the picturesque old city skyline including some of the church domes. Bed upstairs and study down below...it was a fantastic room.
What made this such an incredible stay was Gabriga and his fantastic care for all his guests. Like other reviews have written, Gabriga goes out of his way to help, whether ringing and booking museum tickets, giving local restaurant recommendations, preparing breakfasts all hours of the morning for his different guests.
In my case, I had initially got confused with the local trains and Gabriga waited for me for a very long time at his train station to ensure that I got to his place safely. That is the kind of care he shows to all his guests. He has such a warm and engaging character, he immediately puts you at ease.
Also, most amazingly on my last day in Florence, Gabriga and his girlfriend arranged to take me on a local tour of places outside of Florence. We had such a lovely time and shared many great conversations. The memories are wonderful and I am so happy to make two new friends. Gracie Gabriga and V!
If you are looking to experience local culture and meet local people while visiting Florence and you want to stay with a host who is very warm and welcoming, then I would highly recommend that you stay with Gabriga in his home. His work around his home is fantastic also!
Gabriga was a great host and his place is very spacious and creative. As other users have mentioned definitely join him for dinner if the opportunity is there! I would definitely recommend staying here.
This was the best AirBnB experience I've had to date. It was perfect. Gorgeous clean big room in a gorgeous loft, the right balance between private space and comraderie over breakfast and home-cooked dinners, with lovely friendly interesting and accommodating hosts. It's in great location - close to the center but out of the hustle and bustle of the tourist zone.I stayed a week, and would have stayed longer if Gabriga's home wasn't booked. If you stay here, you're guaranteed a a fabulous Florentine experience! Thank you Gabriga for the hospitality!
I am very happy that your experience in artist's house was beautiful, as it was nice for us to have you host. You're one of those hosts who make your mark and establishes a relationship that lasts into the future. So we hope to see you again soon!
A wish for your trip to Europe is just as nice!
I found Gabriga to be a kind, intelligent and generous host. In addition, he is a good cook. So have dinner with him a couple of times. He has a good knowledge of the city and can direct you to your interests. The apartment is a nice 15 minute walk to the Duomo. Not to far but far enough away from the bustle of the center of town. Its quiet and spacious. My bed was comfortable, and I felt at home quickly. All of which allowed me to get the rest I needed to have another great day in Firenze. Thank you Gabriga and good luck.
Staying with Gabriga at his flat was an unforgettable experience!
He was very catering & gave us an clear overview of the remarkable city. Florence is truly an amazing place.
The room was clean & spacious. The breakfast with fresh fruit, toast, tea & espresso is a perfect way to start one's voyage through the city.
The place is nice, the location is great, but experience was pretty frustrating because of the host. first of all, there was no ac, and there never had been, even though it was advertised as such. if there is ac advertised, its not true! he removed the amenity once we had booked the place, we actually confirmed this with airbnb. also, it said that there was use of washer and drier, but the host was very mad at me for wanting to do my wash and said that i have to wash my stuff by hand. there was a double bed and a single pull out bed, (chair) which i used becuse of the lack of ac. this made him very angry and he told me that i owe him 10 eu for that. one more thing is that he claimed that we owed him 50 more eu because we had a second occupant, (my son) but we had booked with 2 already. he said that this was his mistake when listing the place. when we contacted airbnb in complaint, they said that that kind of transaction was not allowed, so we didn't pay it. also there is no use in the kitchen (as he said in description) but its so strict that he might as well remove it from the amenity list.
This is the final rate, including any fees from the host and Airbnb.
