The two-bedroom log house is indeed charming! Rynagh has taken care to outfit it well.
The location is good, near to the Glendalough Visitor Centre for the Wicklow Mountains. A twelve-minute drive gets you into the nearby village of Rathdrum, which has a few pubs and a place to pick up grocery basics.
Rynagh and Eamon are lovely hosts and their log house in the Wicklow hills is truly unique! Our family of 3 (including a toddler) spent a very energising 4 days in this beautiful location. The house smells like wood and the surroundings are simply gorgeous. Everything was very clean and and our stay was really comfortable. You really need a car if you're visiting the gardens of Ireland but if you have one the location is excellent. Lots of things to do and places to visit nearby. We'd recommend Glendalough, Avondale, the mazes and farm in Greenan (especially if you're travelling with kids) and the beach at Brittas Bay. I'm sure there's a lot more and Rynagh and Eamon are a great source of tips and very knowledgable about the area. We really loved it and hope to come back some day!
Geweldig ruim en net huis op een prachtige locatie. Heerlijke houtgeur en sfeer in het huis. Sauna is een luxe die je weinig tegen komt. Prima uitvalsbasis om de Wicklow mountains te verkennen.
Nice Lodge in the beautiful nature! Wonderful Place to enjoy the Trip! Best Location since a Long Time!!!! Don't miss ! Its an Hour from Dublin And so much better than the stressfull City :) Love this Place !
This was a beautiful place to stay. Rynagh had thought of everything and we felt very at home, and welcome. The log house is very comfortable and ideally situated for visiting the area. We couldn't have found a better spot or a nicer place to stay - only wish we could have had longer!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this absolutely gorgeous log cabin! Rynagh and Eamonn were very lovely and welcoming hosts. We only wish we could have stayed longer.
We had a beautiful stay in this lovely house in the peaceful Wicklow hills. Equipped with everything we needed and more, which really came in handy when we'd forgotten bits and bobs at the supermarket! Rynagh was really helpful in advance of our arrival, nothing seemed too much trouble. Thank you for being a fab host!
