My husband and I just returned from a week stay with Cliff and Linda in Bend. We couldn't have asked for more thoughtful and generous hosts. The room, home, and outdoor areas were even nicer than pictured. We felt like we had privacy, but enjoyed talking with Cliff when he was around. A wonderful place to stay!
Cliff and Linda are amazing hosts! They go way beyond the call of duty (thanks again for all the amazing suggestions) and I can't imagine a better place to stay in Bend. The house/room is extremely comfortable (best sleep I've had my whole trip) and the breakfast spread is more than you could possibly eat. Bottom line, Cliff and Linda deserve 10 stars, not just five. If you're staying in Bend and their home is available, you don't need to look further.
Wonderful, relaxing and lovely room and outdoor space with private entrance. Beautiful house as well. Cliff and Linda were very helpful and offered lots of suggestions about how to best enjoy the area which was much appreciated. Plentiful breakfasts were offered in the morning with lots of options and an offer to raid the fridge! Very gracious and kind hosts. If ever again in the area I would hope to find their space free.
My husband and I stayed here for our two night getaway to Bend. I couldn't be more pleased with the accommodations. Their home is lovely and immaculate. The room is cozy and comfortable and nicely decorated. They live at the end of a cul-de-sac so it is very quiet, the view out the window is of a peaceful yard and trees. I loved the fact that we had our own private entrance out back, and our own en suite. There was even a wonderful fire pit with Firestarter bricks that we were allowed to use to keep us warm when we were sitting out back one night (very romantic).
Cliff and Linda are fantastic. They are warm, friendly and genuine and they made us feel like friends instead of customers. (The dog is awesome as well). They even laid out a big breakfast in the mornings. You can imagine my delight to come out and see all manner of goodies. It felt a little like Christmas morning! I would recommend this listing to anyone. If you're visiting Bend, you can't do better than Cliff and Linda's place.
Cliff and Linda were wonderful hosts, friendly, accommodating and eager to make sure our stay was enjoyable. Cliff greeted us each morning at breakfast to make sure our needs were met. They made sure our days started out right with an assortment of delicious breakfast foods which included pastries, various healthy cereal choices, fresh fruit and yogurt, toast with various preserves, excellent coffee, teas, and other things I can't remember. Their beautiful, sunny kitchen was wonderful. Our room was spacious, quiet, and the bed was very comfortable. Our private entrance through their lovely back yard included our own patio complete with a fire pit and wood. We couldn't have been more pleased with the whole experience and will definitely return.
Linda and Cliff were amazing. Private entrance, bathroom, quiet neighborhood and great breakfast. Room was very clean and the hosts were great. This was my first time using airbnb and it was better than a hotel. My friend stayed with me and she has used airbnb multiple times and said this was the best experience she's had and that Cliff and Linda went above and beyond.
Our stay with Cliff and Linda was our first airbnb experience and it definitely exceeded our expectations. They are a lovely, warm couple who clearly wanted nothing more than to make our stay as pleasurable and tailored to our needs as possible. They had excellent knowledge of places to go to eat that spread across all manner of types and level of cuisine. Their house was cozy and incredibly comfortable with just the right amount of privacy. Their neighborhood was quiet and pleasant and they gave us a key to the back of the house so we could come in and out without worrying about disturbing them. This, paired with their happiness to talk as much or little as you likes with them made them absolutely ideal as hosts for our stay in Bend over memorial weekend. Their house is in a great location, where driving into Bend will only take you 10 minutes or so, walking takes about 40 minutes but that was to get all the way over to the Old Mill District, which is a fair bit further of a trek than the downtown Bend area. They gave us great ideas for things to do and even had a little breakfast spread set out for us each morning, which truly went above and beyond our expectations. Overall, there's not a bad thing we have to say about this stay and we will definitely be staying with Cliff and Linda whenever the next time we visit that part of the world may be!

About the Host, Cliff And Linda
We have been married for 39 years and have lived in wonderful Bend for 13 years and hosting on Airbnb for three years now! We enjoy living so close to everything Bend has to offer, everything is at our fingertips here! It’s just the right sized town, five to ten minutes or less gets you to so many things that Bend has to offer, about two miles to beautiful Downtown Bend, Drake Park on the River, The Old Mill, and many other great places to go for wide varieties of things to do. We also have parks, shops, restaurants, trails, and more, even closer to home. (See our guidebook / maps for a sample) We take our dog “Ollie” to beautiful Riverbend Park where he can play fetch and swim in the River with his buddies, across from the Old Mill and hang out at the large grass areas there watching people float, raft, or paddle the river in many interesting ways. It’s a great place to eat lunch or dinner and relax and I love to hike from there up along the river trail (see photo), you can hike several miles along the river and see many interesting sites along the way, it is just one of so many fantastic experiences that are so close to home. As if there weren't enough great things to see and do right here in town, when you venture out of town a whole other world opens up. There isn't enough room on the page to describe it all. (We have brochures, literature, and maps with great photographs that you can browse for hours here in your room while you are relaxing and settling in for your stay.) Our cat “Woody" is hanging around the house, or not, but always comes in for food when he feels like it. A hike up to the top of Pilot Butte is something I like to do to keep in shape and enjoy the 360 degree panoramic vistas of Oregon as far as the eye can see. It looks like a long way away to the top from our house but you can walk there and back in about an hour and enjoy the best views of the city, mountains, and forest as far as the eye can see (500 ft elevation gain). It’s a good way to start the day or for a great sunset. Or you can drive up in a couple of minutes. (Spring, Summer, Fall). So, we love our pets, Linda loves to cook, and we love to garden and landscape, design & decorate. We like to just hang out at different sitting areas around the house and play fetch with Ollie again.
We have made some great friends and had many good times hosting on Airbnb over the last two years and are looking forward to this year! It has been an enriching and rewarding experience for us and many of our guests tell us the same thing. We always enjoy meeting people from around the country, and the globe!
