Villa Shakti is a luxurious property in Seminyak area, just outside of the busy streets. The villa has 3 bedrooms, a huge living room and one of the largest gardens you find in this area with a 20 meter salt water pool with a build in dinner bar.
Brand new villa with a 20 meter salt water pool with a build in dinner table and lounge area! Also we seted up the Villa and garden in a very generous way, which is not seen much anymore in this area as real estate value's rocketed! The design is modern with use of traditional materials like refurbished boatwood but also a very old carved dinner table...

Had a great weekend with my family in Villa Shakti.
We loved the long pool and spent lots of time in there! The villa is definitely just as it looks in the pictures. Henry is a great host with a quick response and super helpful. Worth to stay here. I definitely recommend it.
Villa Shakti is a beautiful property with a lot going for it. First off, I definitely recommend it. The pool is amazing, the beds are super comfy and the villa as a whole is a great experience. Just bear in mind the villa is in the middle of a village and a good 10 minute walk from civilisation (ie shops and local restaurants/cafes).
Our housekeeper Tweetie was lovely. She comes in everyday to clean the villa and does a great job. Very friendly. She's only there for an hour a day so if you need anything make sure to ask before she leaves.
There were however a few things that unfortunately weren't as advertised...the wifi was pretty rubbish and the Apple Mac that comes with the villa was nowhere to be seen.
We were also told we would get a complimentary pick up from the airport to the villa but turns out we had to pay the driver $25 AUD which is about twice the price of a normal taxi. Poor form but we didn't let it ruin our stay. Just make sure it's paid for if told its complimentary.
One last thing...Beware of mice! The Oreo's and some other packaged food we left in the cupboard did not last long...and they were not eaten by any human. They were considerately replaced with mice droppings. Just how it goes when you're in the rice paddies :-)
Overall highly recommend. Great value for money!
While the villa itself is lovely and in a good location, we encountered a number of issues during our stay and were not entirely satisfied with management’s follow up.
General comments: The pool is a definite drawcard and is as lovely as advertised. It is worth noting that the upstairs loft room can get quite warm (A/C needs to be on all the time) and doesn’t have a shower, only a toilet. It’s also quite dark. The other two rooms downstairs have lovely open air bathrooms and were very comfortable. We were greeted with cold fresh coconuts which was a nice touch.
Issues encountered: For the benefit of other guests I am leaving a detailed review of our experience so others may make their own decisions. We were a group of 4; one couple and two singles staying for 4 nights. We all live in developing countries and have reasonably low expectations. We’ve been to Bali many times and my husband is Indonesian. Our review is based on how the issues we raised were managed. All issues were immediately reported at the time to management in person (to staff), or by text, email and phone to Henry.
•Issues with responsiveness prior to arrival
•On arrival - villa did not look neat and ready for new guests. One room smelled of cigarette smoke
•Issues with keys for rooms – eventually got keys for downstairs rooms but not for upstairs. Asked to leave room keys in drawer for staff to access rooms to clean
•Safety boxes were not working, only got one to work out of three
•Wifi worked intermittently at best and was quite slow when it was on.
•Villa has poor electrical wiring and shorted multiples times daily
•Paint splatter got on our rental car due to painting of villa walls, there was minimal response when reported
•Most significantly, money was stolen from the person staying in the upstairs room. It was hidden within several layers of a bag and only enough taken so that it may not be discovered immediately. Response from Henry was unsatisfactory given the seriousness of this and everything else that had happened.
From our perspective, Henry and his staff didn’t manage the problems we had during our stay very well. Henry did not at any time come to the villa to resolve issues himself even though his staff did not seem able to manage on their own. I tried calling a few times throughout the 4 days but often didn’t get a response until much later. Given this, we will not be returning as there are other villas in Bali that may require less effort.
Villa Shakti is great! Perfect like in pictures with very kind and gentle staff to support any of your requests during your stay.
