Vesna's apartment is absolutely lovely. The views from the living room and master bedroom are jaw-dropping. Some of the best pictures we took in Dubrovnik were right from her apartment. The location is also great. Very close to the city wall gate with easy access to Old Town, and the beach is literally just down the steps. It's also right on a bus route for easy access to public transportation. But the best part is Vensa herself. She is a wonderful host. Next time we stay you need to come to dinner with us Vesna!.... To sum this up, do not hesitate to book this apartment.
Vesna and her husband were fantastic hosts of this dream apartment. When we arrived they helped us return our rental car, set up all our taxis to the airport, and even drove one in our party to the airport because she had an earlier departure. They couldn't be nicer!
The apartment is in a perfect location. The steps up from the main street really aren't too bad and it puts you very close to the old walled city and the East-West beach club. We also loved the corner bakery at the base of the steps (try the softball sized apple pastries with a full apple baked inside!)
The apartment fits 4 guests very comfortably. The views to the old city are just as spectacular as they look in the picture. We all hope to come back again soon!
The little cottage Vesna rents is simply gorgeous, perfect for a family or two couples and those wanting to stay longer in Dubrovnik. It's in a great location, about a 5 minute walk outside the old city walls, with bakeries, supermarket and restaurants all nearby. There are a number of stairs leading up to the house so mobility is a necessity but that is the case with many places in the old town, it seems.
Vesna very kindly accommodated us at short notice and helpfully organized a car to pick us up from the airport. All in all, a lovely experience.
Our family of 4 stayed in Apartment Niko in August. It is accurate to the pictures - although it was a lot more spacious than we expected. The location is incredible - right above Banje beach, and the views are breathtaking.
Vesna and Niko were such wonderful welcoming hosts and we loved staying at their apartment. We would definitely stay here again.
Vesna's apartment was perfect for our stay in Dubrovnik. We could never get tired of the magnificent view of the old town from the living room. There was plenty of space for our family of four and the apartment was very comfortable. Vesna arranged for a taxi to meet our flight and we were within the apartment within an hour of landing. Vesna met us there and provided loads of useful information. Was 10 min walk to old town and less to the nearest beach (but we preferred the beach that was 20 mins walk south. Bakery and mini market also a short walk away.
I had a wonderful stay at Vesna's charming apartment very near Old Town. I spent three nights in the apartment with my husband and in-laws, flying from San Francisco. The apartment suited all our needs: incredible location just up an alley from the gate to Old Town, stunning views, plenty of space, and comfortable accommodations. The location was really ideal, since we were so close to all the action of Old Town but removed enough for it to feel peaceful. It requires stairs to access, if that is an issue. Since we were there amidst a heat wave, it was hot but the AC kept the apartment pretty comfortable while we were inside. Vesna was also a great host: friendly, communicative, hospitable, and helpful. She even helped coordinate our airport pick up and an excursion to Montenegro for us, which was exceedingly kind of her. I would absolutely recommend anyone traveling to Dubrovnik to stay at Vesna's lovely apartment.
Apartment NIKO was fantastic. Very spacious, with an astonishing view of the Old city, it had everything we needed for our family of 4: a well equipped kitchen, a lovely living room, efficient air conditioning and even a terrace in the back. The apartment is perfectly situated. It’s just a 5 minutes’ walk to the Old city, to the bus stop going to the airport and even to a beach. Vesna and her husband are very nice people, giving us all the information about where to go and what to do around Dubrovnik and even picking us up at the bus station. Our first ever AirBNB experience was a perfect one thanks to them and their terrific apartment. Don’t hesitate to book this place I’m sure that you too will love everything about it.
Vesna and Niko's apartment was perfect for our family of four; homely and comfortable, exactly as seen in the photographs, and situated on a quiet hillside less than five minutes' walk from Dubrovnik's walls, of which there are excellent views from the windows.
The owners kindly collected us from the bus station and drove us to the apartment, even though this required two trips, and made it clear they would be available by phone or email to answer any questions or provide any assistance needed.
The apartment is only a couple of flights down from the road above, but steeply down several flights of stone stairs to the road that passes the walls. However the climb up is no worse than that encountered walking about Dubrovnik: every direction is up from the main street.
The apartment's kitchen is well equipped, and there's a handy washing machine in the bathroom. Careful management of shutters and windows produces cool through breezes in the day time and the air-conditioner in the living room is sufficient to cool the whole apartment at night.
The travel agency just across the road and slightly to the right at the bottom of the stairs was helpful and offered car rental and taxi transfers at fair prices.
Great place to stay in Dubrovnik, within walking distance to the old town and all appliances were in good working condition. Vesna was very helpful to accommodate us especially as there was an extra person and there ended up being 5 of us. It is important to note that there are heaps of steps, however we enjoyed the exercise!
If you are looking for convenience, charm and character in Dubrovnik I would not look past Niko's apartment. Yes there are some stairs to climb, but it only takes 2 minutes from the closest street and the panorama that greets you once you have entered the apartment is unforgettable.
At times (in the heat of the day) we preferred to just soak up the view rather than explore the old town. And if anything was needed Vesna was available to assist. The pre-arrival communication was excellent and the lift from the bus stop was much appreciated after a long day travelling to Dubrovnik.
If (more likely when) we return to Dubrovnik I would happily return to Niko's apartment!
