Loved my 4 wks at this cute studio, right in town! Perfect location-everything walkable-State St,Red tile district,West Beach, the marina/harbor&good food/bars!I was concerned it was going to be a tiny boxroom in a house, but not at all! Loved the main room, with its huge windows on two walls-so much daylight, air&sunshine. Separate kitchen was great&clean-nice big fridge, cooker&all you need including coffeemaker:-)A nice dining table too if you wanted to sit and eat.The bathroom was also big-good shower&hot water morning&night(sometimes you just need to run the water for a while to get hot).Plenty of storage space in the dresser&closet so the room doesn't get full if you unpack, which I liked.I also really liked the extras and little touches like laundry detergent, spices, ground coffee(!)so I didn't have to buy these.(There is a supermarket a block away so a few mins walk)Also an iron and ironing board,A/C fan and more. One negative-there's a club across the street which has karaoke 3nights a wk which can go quite late&is loud! For me over time it became part of being in SB,but it could keep you awake, and some might find the traffic noisy. Also, some might find the bed really soft(but its soft in a good way)On my own it was ok,I imagine for two people it could be little awkward to sleep in.The host thoughtfully put 5different types of pillows, including a memory one, just like a hotel pillow menu! Also like a hotel,an abundance of bright, clean towels,a really nice touch again. Fatima was great for anything I needed, always responded&helped me out the few times I needed anything.I rarely watched TV but the basic channels were all I needed, and the wi-fi is great.I am struggling to think of anything really bad to say about this place, I guess it depends on how fussy you are.. but for me, it was a lovely quaint traditional styled little home for a month, right in the heart of Santa Barbara, and I will miss it for sure :-)
I stayed here for 3 weeks during a work contract. The place is very cute, nicely decorated, and in a quiet building. The location was great and downtown was very walkable. Fatima was a great host and very responsive. The apartment got warm during the afternoons when the sun was shining in but was ok with a box fan in the window and the curtains shut to block the sun. The building is old and water takes a little while to warm up and the bathroom sink needed drain-o on 2 occasions during my 3 week stay bc of clogging. Overall it was a very pleasant stay, and I really enjoyed being so close to everything. I'd definitely stay again :-)
This apartment is pretty nice, large enough for a single person or a couple. Is very well located, with supermarkets nearby and many restaurants. I would recommend this apartment, definitely. The street is a bit noisy, mostly from the Karaoke nights that happen in front of it. I felt like a coach from the "The Voice", but I certainly never felt I should press the button, none of them belong to team Roberto. The water system is a bit old, as the water takes some time to heat up and the sinks gets blocked. But other than that, excellent place to enjoy Santa Barbara.
We had a wonderful time at the Victorian studio! It's in walking distance to State Street which is great. The studio is small but has a well equipped kitchen and a big bathroom. The bed is very soft, we as Europeans had to get used to that! It is true that the water in the bathroom takes some time to get hot, but everything works fine. The street is a big loud, but the neighbourhood is good! Fatima was very helpful and a great host.
I had a terrible experience staying at this place. This is probably the worst place I have ever stayed at. I booked this apartment for 7 nights during Christmas and I basically forfeited the last 4 nights of my stay because the place was dirty, infested with bugs, problems with the heater, took forever for a hot water to reach the shower, and the bed was absolutely atrocious. I spent nearly $500 for a 2 night stay at a hotel because I couldn't tolerate the conditions any longer, and I cut my vacation short by 2 days because I refused to go back and stay at Fatima's apartment even though I was paying for it.
When I brought up the conditions to Fatima's attention as I was heading back home earlier than my scheduled departure; she said "I'm very sorry it didn't work for you." ......... Very disappointing comment if you ask me.
This is my first experience with Airbnb. Honestly, I'm not sure if I will ever use the service again. The whole experience just left a bad impression on me.
Ramin and his family stayed at my fabulous studio, wich I had so many happy guest, who love the place. Ramin book the studio very last minute and asking me to give a discount and I did. I tried very hard to make him happy, but he was difficult to deal with. The bed is very comfortable,it's only one year old, the apartment is over 100 years old Victorian, some times it takes litter bit time for hot water to come. I have great cleaning service, they all way do great work.
I believe, Ramin is very unhappy person with his own life, this is not FOUR SEASON BILTMORE he didn't $1000 a day, he paid less then that a week. It's so sad for him to be so negative about people and affecting them so negatively.
Please Ramin, be happy ! If you want to best of everything you need to pay big money! Wish you the best and be happy with your life!
Please read other reviews about the studio. Thank you!
Fatima is a wonderful person. She was very accommodating. We had a problem operating the TV and she came later that day to take care of it. The street is a little busy, but you are in a city. It was conveniently located close to State Street. The apartment was very clean. bed was comfortable. kitchen was equipped so you could cook if you so desired. It was a great stay!
