About This Listing
☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ COUNTRY COTTAGE IN THE CITY ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆
You'll feel right at home in this country cottage style apartment in the heart of the hip and trendy Lower East Side. The neighborhood is considered one of the top five in the nation by Forbes Magazine, as it is an eclectic mix of old New York and the hottest restaurants and nightlife the city has to offer. The apartment is a charming one bedroom. There is a queen size bed in the bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room with a private balcony. There is a full kitchen fully stocked with pots/pans/utensils, etc. French doors close off the living room from the kitchen. You'll have access to backyard courtyard and roof with romantic view of the entire city! Cable tv in living room (large flat screen) with all movie channels and on demand. Free High speed internet/WIFI included. The building has an elevator. There is also a laundry room with washer/dryer if needed. The apartment is in The Lower East Side of Manhattan and the neighborhood is full of amazing restaurants and boutiques! There is also an Olympic sized pool just around the corner from the apartment. The apartment is within a few minutes of the Delancey subway stop that will connect you to the rest of city. But best of all, the downtown location is walking distance to neighborhoods of Soho, (Great Shopping) Nolita, Little Italy, Chinatown, and the East Village. The apartment feels very welcoming and is the perfect place for travelers wanting to feel at home! (Rates are based on double occupancy)
**PLEASE NOTE: The pool is a neighborhood pool and is open to the public. It is open seasonally from June 28 - Sept 5. It can get very crowded with kids from the neighborhood. However there is a less crowded, adults only lap swim at 7:30AM to 8:30AM and in the evening at 7:30 PM - 8:30 PM.
1. No shoes
2. No smoking
*I have a no shoes policy, ( I know it sounds funny!) But I do ask if you decide to rent the place that you do not wear shoes in the apartment. The streets of NYC are so dirty that I'd like to be able to sit on the rug or do yoga on the floor and know that it's clean! I think it adds to the over all good vibe of the place! :)
Also, I would prefer there not to be smoking in the apartment but there is a balcony so feel free to smoke there if need be.
Keera was a most gracious and helpful host. The apartment was as shown in the photos and as described on the posting. The neighborhood is LES, so no monumental tourist venues are nearby, but subway transport is relatively convenient. And taxis were plentiful. The visit all worked out as we'd hoped.
Keera was an incredibly welcoming and gracious hostess. Her apartment was beautiful and just as cozy and charming as it looks in the pictures. And we loved the Lower East Side neighborhood - lots of small restaurants, bars, nightclubs, and shops. Keera's apartment was very quiet at night. The only issue that arose was from nearby construction; we had our son stay over and he slept in the living room and was awakened every morning, once very early, by the construction crews. Evidently you can hear the construction in the living room but not in our bedroom with the windows closed. So just be aware if you are planning to have someone sleep in the living room. Keera had told me about the construction and other than that, it didn't bother us. Everything else about the apartment was great and the neighborhood was lively and exciting.
This darling New York apartment was perfect. Everything was clean, and the host was welcoming, accommodating, and very responsive. I felt at home in the cozy atmosphere, and it didn't hurt that the surrounding neighborhood was fantastic. Tons of restaurants, cafes, and bars, all within walking distance. That said, the apartment itself was nice and quiet and felt very safe. Will definitely come back for any upcoming trips to the big apple.
We stayed at Country Cottage for 14 days, and from the beginning, Keera was extremely helpful to us. She assists us in many things, like directions, taxis, subways, food store, etc... it was a very good experience. She is a very nice, honest and friendly person. We recommend this place at all of you.
The location was good and the shower also !!
Very peaceful place. Good energy in there!
In every way staying at Keera's apartment was a great experience. We highly recommend it. Keera was a great host. She made us all feel very welcome and communicated very clearly through the entire process. The apartment is quite spacious for an apartment in Manhattan. Three of us stayed very comfortably in the bedroom and on the fold-out couch. Keera has kept it very clean and charming. If anything, it is nicer and more spacious than it looks in the posted pictures. The apartment is tucked in a quiet corner away from the noise of the busier streets. The neighborhood felt very safe and there were tons of excellent, affordable restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. The metro is only two short blocks away and gives access to most of the sights in Manhattan within 20 minutes.
We would not hesitate to stay here again.
My stay at Keera's was wonderful. She was at the apt. when I arrived and was gracious and warm. The photos are an accurate representation of the space, though it's actually more spacious and light-filled and comfortable.
The location was perfect for me - a 10-minute walk from my daughter's apartment. Also, very close to the subway, markets, restaurants and shops (highly recommend the Essex St. Market). The Lower East Side and Chinatown are great neighborhoods for exploration.
A friend unexpectedly needed a place to stay, so she slept on the foldout couch in the living room.
I highly recommend Keera's place and would gladly stay there again!
