  • A reasonably priced small Riad for a family. Comes with breakfast and a Kodora a very pleasant maid who prepares breakfast, tidies up and can cook delicious dinners in the Riad for 300 dh. Kodora is a lot of fun to have around, and Aziza who looks after Karim’s Riads (this is a business operation not a casual sublet) is super efficient and helpful to deal with. You’ll need at least basic French.

The Riad is well located, close to the Mosque at Bab Doukkala, 10 minutes from Bab Doukkala itself, one of the major gates into the Medina, and right next door to the Gare Routiere (about 20 walks from the Supratours and CTM bus termini). It’s a pleasant 10-15 walk to the Marrakech's central square. The Riad has 3 bedrooms: two on the first floor (for 2 and 3 respectively) and a third on the roof terrace, which we didn’t use, and a pleasant living room. Good wifi connection and very good shower. Be warned: the Riad is cold in winter, especially for eating in en plein air in the central courtyard.

  • Excellent location little gem in the medina! Great communication with karim prior to booking. Would recommend anytime and will book again in the future! Also very grateful for late checkout as our plane was delayed until midnight we were allowed to stay at raid until 9 pm!! The only downside is being woken up by maid every morning before 10am as I love to sleep late when on holidays. Thank you again karim!!

  • Karim's riad in the old medina of Marrakech is lovely - the pictures don't even do justice to what a nice spot it is! Thank you so much and I look forward to a future visit!!

  • We had a fantastic time renting the riad and everything about our stay was easy and efficient, from booking with Karim, to being greeted at the riad by the local manager and housekeeper for mint tea and biscuits. Highly recommended!

  • Riad Salam is a traditional (riad) house in the Marrakech Medina, situated in a very small alley. It is full of charm and atmosphere, and we had a perfect stay there. It may be a little cold in the winter (the central court has no roof, as it is supposed to be, since that's the way road were built) and it has no internet connection at the moment, but those are minor aspects: the woman coming every morning to prepare your breakfast is smiling and kind, and the breakfast is a first-rate one. We loved the roof up on the 3rd floor and the quite compared to the craziness of the streets of Marrakech. Good place to choose when you visit Morocco.
