Waitomo Big Bird Retreat ( 3 bedroomed classic 70's dwelling) overlooking the entrance to Waitomo Village and is only 150 metres from Huhu Cafe (5 star-rated) and easy 5 min walk to the Glow-worm cave, hotel, I-site and General Store. Large deck area for relaxing, large lounge/dining/kitchen area for families and groups with Garage space, also outdoor BBQ area. Be our guest and enjoy all Waitomo has to offer. 5min from Blackwater rafting adventures. Holiday House Accommodation. (No Bfst incl)

Newly recarpeted and heat pump/air-conditioner installed. Progressive Upgrading and repainting happening as time allows. Comfortable beds, lovely views and central to Waitomo activities. Queen + 4 singles + fold out double couch and 2 fold-out singles, portacot or cot mattress available + highchair. (1 medium hot water cylinder - large groups 5min showers.)

Waitomo Village is a quaint little NZ rural settlement like no other. Friendly locals and village vibe! Go for a walk, coffee/lunch or dinner at HuHu Cafe, visit the Historic old Hotel hosting the queen in 1953. See the Museum and History of the caves. Visit Ruakuri Bushwalk by day and again to see the glow-worms at night down by the river. Take a drive out to Marokopa Falls, Mangapohue Natural Bridge, and PiriPiri caves (allow 3 hours). See the I-Site for all the cave options: All are amazing!
