This apartment is awesome and the location couldn't be better! My roommate Sahil and I live here along with other travelers. I run a dance company and love to travel. Sahil is a brilliant actor, spoken word poet, and waiter. We both love meeting new people and usually are free to go out for a drink or dinner while you are around if you'd like.
The apartment is right off of Bedford Avenue north of the Williamsburg Bridge. So you can take a relaxing bike ride over the bridge into Manhattan, or walk 8 minutes to the L or J,M,Z trains. Bedford Avenue is one of the most beautiful streets in all of Brooklyn, filled with cafes, book shops, independent clothing stores, fine cheese shops etc. Williamsburg is really the heart and soul of New York's artistic youth culture, and there are amazing bands playing, outdoor movies, etc etc always happening. It's a great place to stay!
The room in question is about 8' x 8' with a built in full lofted bed (super comfortable complete with fresh sheets, towels, etc). We call it the tree house room because it's skinny and tall and you have to climb a beachwood staircase to get to the bed and it's worth the journey! And the window into the room is made of tree branches - as you can see in our photos. It's a fun place to stay with sparkling lights inside! There's wifi if you need to work, and our DVD and book collection are available to you to borrow while you stay!
The living room and kitchen are quite large with very high ceilings and beautifully decorated. Some nice extras are a brand new modern kitchen with a dishwasher, cheap washing machine in the hall way right outside the front door, and A GORGEOUS VERY CLOSE VIEW OF MANHATTAN ON THE ROOF - YOU CAN SEE 7 BRIDGES, THE ENTIRE ISLAND OF MANHATTAN AND THE EAST RIVER!!
(NOTE: This is a temporary note - the roof has been closed temporarily - we are not sure when it will reopen. Feel free to ask at time of booking if it has reopened. We also have access to another gorgeous roof just down the street, so if getting a good view of the skyline from a BK roof is important to you, we can take you over there!)
There is alternate side parking - so it's free and pretty easy to find a spot, but you'll just have to move it to the other side of the street on cleaning days.
ALSO THE APARTMENT IS PROFESSIONALLY CLEANED 5 DAYS/WEEK. That means fresh towels every day if you want them! So it's like the comfort of someone's home with some of the nice amenities of a hotel.
Hope you will enjoy New York as much as I do!

Excellent host, friendly and flexible. Williamsburg is a great neighborhood! A perfect place to crash after walking around the city for three straight days. Highly recommended.
Leslie's amazing apartment is just minutes away from the subway, and the best Williamsburg shops, restaurants, and bars. NYC residents never fail to impress me with how they manage interior spaces, and this room is a testament to that! I would recommend it to anyone who wants to experience a pleasantly, unique living space. This apartment compliments Brooklyn so well, and so does Leslie!
As this was my first experience in NYC, Leslie's place offered an extremely comfortable accommodation for 2 nights stay. The building is an old warehouse and very secure, and the neighborhood is excellent, just a short walk to the L train or M, J trains in Brooklyn. It was very easy to find, and easy to get across town to Manhattan via subway. Many great places to eat and drink up Bedford Ave. The apartment was very clean and bright and sunny while I was there, and although my visit with Leslie was brief, she was very pleasant and made sure I had everything I needed. It was a very unique experience that beats the price of a hotel room for a great stay in Brooklyn.
The apartment is in a fantastic part of the city, a few mins away from the subway, plenty of great places for food and drink in the surrounding area. Even though we saw little of her due to being out so often, Leslie was always really friendly and just a genuinely nice person. She is a terrific host and the apartment itself was perfect. So well kept. Cannot recommend it enough.
A fantastic host, kind and helpful, a cozy apartment, very clean and comfortable and a good location!
My son and I had a great stay in Brooklyn in October. The flat and the area is perfect för exploring the good parts of Brooklyn and lower Manhattan. It was nice staying in a private home instead of in a hotell and we really enjoyed and it was a good experience to share the place with others unknown travellers. Leslies friend Burdie gave us a warm welcome as Leslie was out of town and she really made us feel at home away from home. Thank you, Burdie!
The flat and the area are great. Lots of bars, cafes, restaurants and cute shops. The Williamsburg bridge is just a few minutes away and so is the closest Metro Station. Leslie is a very organised host. There is a folder available with all the important information when she is not around but you can contact her any time if you have any queries. The room looks exactly as on the pictures. Unfortunately you can here everything that is happening because the walls are paper thin.
A nice and clean place in a trendy neighbourhood. Fully enjoyed staying there!
We stayed 3 days at Leslie's appartment and it was very good time.
Super apartement with easy high sleeper and in a cool neighborhood. Leslie was very busy, but when she was at home, she was very friendly and kind.
Leslie was a great host. Her apartment was in the perfect location for getting around Brooklyn; everything was in walking distance Lofted tree house was super quaint, but just enough room to store your bags and rest your head. What else do you need? I would absolutely return. VERY clean house and bathroom. Way to go Leslie :)
