This was our first time using AIRBNB, and maybe we had the wrong idea in thinking that AIRBNB was about individuals renting out rooms in their homes (and sometimes actual b’n’bs), so with the description online, that was what we were expecting. Instead, this is really a small hotel/inn- had we known that we wouldn’t have stayed. The place has obviously seen better days and the room was rather small and dark and wasn’t as clean as one might like (particularly the bathroom). The meal we had was passable. Huguette was friendly, and I’m sure works hard keeping this place going, but we couldn’t help feeling a bit like suckers, particularly after learning that her room prices were rather high for the area/season.
The region is spectacular, and we wanted to explore more, so after talking to a local person and getting a recommendation we stayed the next night at a b’n’b in the next town (6 or so km away) that was fantastic, and with a great meal included cost half the price.
Huguette was a friendly host and the room was very spacious. The location of the B&B is simply gorgeous with the mountains hugging the house from all sides.
We enjoyed a delicious vegan dinner (requires pre-ordering) in the cozy dining room with a fireplace.
The weather was quite chilly and even with heating on max we could not get the room warm enough. Probably due to the horses the hosts were keeping there were quite a few flys inside the house.

Bienvenue! à tous
