About this listing
In the lofty heights of Al Qurum you will find the opulent sourounds of R.E.Versailles.
You will be welcomed with the little extras & comforts of a Boutique hotel along with stunning views over our pretty city Muscat from the decadent roof terrace.
I have taken pleasure in is creating a special environment with all the little touches whilst still providing the comforts of home giving you options of using the space as your own or as a B and B.
The property can be rented as a single bedroom from £65 (please see my other listing A Demure Muscat Lodgement) to a full house at 265 Pounds per night.
The roof terrace is spacious and the space has been created for relaxing chill out mornings or to enjoy a sundowner watching the city lights take over from our beautiful sunsets.
Overall R.E.Versailles is very comfortable and truly relaxing whilst remaining a stones throw from all you will need to explore Muscat.
Guests have full access to my home, kitchen, gas cook top, oven, laundry facilities, outdoor facilities, wifi and local calls can be made.
An aditional fee is required if you wish to book sole use of the property without myself onsite.
This property is not geared for toddlers or very young children.
Interaction with Guests
I shall be present on site throughout your stay unless the whole house has been booked for private use.
I Am as visible as you wish but do work locally, long and odd hours so contact re requests are easily made and your privacy respected.
I do however enjoy meeting new people and socialising if time allows.
What I love about my neighbourhood is the fact that culture, religion and historical tradition is right on my doorstep and it is your choice how much influence you have and at what level of interaction you wish.
It is a city full of honor and tradition, the people are humble but proud. They are excitedly moving with the times whilst maintaining a relaxed pace of life.
It is rather a pleasure to be surrounded by such.
R.E Versailles is about 30-40 minutes from the airport depending on traffic.
From home you are 5 minutes from Shatti and Muscat City where you will find the restaurants, cafes, cinema and our illustrious Royal Opera House.
You are 15 minutes from Mutrah and the port, the souks and the historical sites.
It is suggested if you are here for more than a couple of days that you hire a car. Easily done. There is a tour bus that can take you on a site seeing tour but otherwise the only format of transport is by cab.
A cab can be called from numbers supplied at villa or in most cases they can be picked up very close.
Other Things to Note
Your trip to Muscat should be a special one and I shall endeavour to make your stay comfortable and restful.
I am lucky to have lovely neighbours and a pleasant interactive neighbourhood which is very local orientated. You will hear the calls to prayer from the mosque as you will in most parts of the city, you will hear the children playing in the lane after school, and you will find a special city oasis in the Qurum Heights hills of Muscat.
And a final thing to note, my neighbourhood is accepting of westerners ways but as it is a predominantly Muslim environment, respect and personal discretion in all external property interactions is expected.

Rebecca is a fantastic host, she everything perfectly placed and set up for us. Her attention to detail made it feel like we were in a beautiful boutique hotel. The best part of her place is the roof top patio were we spent evenings watching the gorgeous sunsets. I highly recommend A Touch of Versailles to others traveling to Muscat.
Beautiful house. Rebecca has decorated it in a fascinating way, she is a very kind hostess.
We had a wonderful stay at R.E.Versailles in Muscat. Rebecca was a very generous host. As we were her first guests there were some teething problems but she endeavoured to sort these out as quickly as possible. Being in an Omani neighbourhood allowed us to interact with some very friendly locals. Rooftop sundowners a highlight. I would recommend hiring a car if staying more than two days.
