About one week prior to your arrival we will touch base with a few details about access including the key lock box code.
Interaction with Guests
We generally make the key available in the lock box so schedules do not have to be considered for personal greetings. We of course love to meet our guests if it works out, but we understand that many people simply want to enjoy their stay and relax. We live on the same street just steps away, so meetings are easily arranged if needed.
We love our neighborhood because it is so quiet and walkable with many large oak trees and green spaces yet so close to everything. Many consider it to be the perfect balance! We are 5 minutes from downtown Asheville and even closer to Biltmore village and entrance to Biltmore House. There are several bus stops close by as well.

Jane and William were wonderful. Their house was incredibly inviting, spacious and in the middle of everything we wanted to do. They provided a wonderful "survival" breakfast for us for the first day and stopped in to say hello the 2nd day of our trip. They were available if we needed but not intrusive. Their neighborhood was perfect as was the house itself. Can't say enough good things about
The Acorn House was exactly as William and Jane described. The neighborhood was delightful and the birdsong was lovely. The location was great for getting to downtown and the Biltmore Estate. We arrived to a very clean home with comfortable beds and furniture. There were fresh eggs, milk, bread and jam for our breakfast the next morning. We plan to stay again.
Acorn House was a wonderful place to stay during a long weekend in Asheville. We were in town for a wedding and it made for a perfect base of operations. It is spacious and comfortable, equipped with everything we needed. It is conveniently located in Asheville, also - just a quick drive or a $10 taxi/Uber ride from downtown. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a rental house in Asheville.
Our stay at Acorn House was wonderful! It was clean and cozy with everything we needed. Jane and William left us bread and eggs in the kitchen, which was much appreciated the morning after our late night arrival. The house was very close to downtown and the neighborhood was beautiful. We would love to stay here again!
Our experience at Acorn House was great! Lovely quaint home in a perfect neighbourhood, tucked away in a great area but very close to downtown Asheville. Jane and William kindly left restaurant recommendations which were spot-on (Chestnut is a must-try for dinner). The house was spotless and comfortable. I stayed there with my husband and parents and all of us would definitely stay at Acorn House again.
What a fantastic, cute house with great hosts. Lots of little touches made our stay very comfortable. Thanks!
We had a wonderful experience at the Acorn House. The house is just as advertised. Located in a quiet, beautiful neighborhood in Asheville and close to everything. Would certainly stay here again if we are back in the area.
