Other Things to Note
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
1) How many people live in the house?
This floor has 3 rooms but you only share bathroom with 1.
2) Is my child counted as an adult when making the reservation?
Yes, your child is counted as one person. If you are traveling with children please email me first.
3) Why do I have to pay for laundry?
The deposit fee does not cover the replacement of a big appliance. So we do not let guests use our washing machine anymore. There are self-service Laundromats nearby where you can do your laundry. We offer to do your laundry for a small fee ($ 10/load), but we do encourage that you do it on your own.

Was quite happy with my stay. Good neighborhood. 15 minute walk to metro station. Nice clean, comfortable room
Totally awesome stay!
This was my first airbnb experience and it was great! After a long day of lots of traveling, Pat welcomed me and other guests with a delicious dinner and dessert. The room and bathroom were comfortable and clean, and just as described. I could tell that the couple really loves to host, and overall it was a great experience!
Patrick was great. He is a very friendly and welcoming guy. It was fun to talk to him and to listen to his story. I definitively enjoyed my stay with him.
Everything was like in the description. The room and bed were very clean. Also the bathroom.
I can only recommend to stay here. If I will come back to DC I will stay there!
Ps: Patrick is a great cook! :-)
I stayed with Pat and Isa while in town for two days for work. They were very accommodating hosts. I really just needed somewhere to sleep and shower that wasn't too far from the red line, and this fit the bill. I would say the atmosphere was hostel-like, so not really conducive to doing any work in the evenings (no desk) and maybe wouldn't be the best for a longer trip. Sound also carries between rooms pretty well, so I would recommend earplugs.
Isabelle and Patrick were just great, really nice people. The place was just like in the photos and about 20 min from a Subway station. I would stay there again!!!
The host's daughter, Jaz, was helpful when I arrived and showed me the ropes. The room, bathroom, and kitchen were adequate and clean. The neighbourhood was great. However, the notes that the proprietors gave us indicated that for $10 they would give us a ride to or from the Metro. However, when both my sister and I on different occasions asked for a ride, we were told that it wasn't possible at that time. This was when cabs were non-existent due to an ice storm in my case and a snow storm in my sister's case - this made getting back to the Metro and to the airport very challenging.
Nikki forgot to mention that both Isa and Patrick were out of the country at the time of her stay and that I (Jaz) who lives 30 minutes away gave her numbers for a couple of taxi companies. Sorry Nikki, I wished I could have left work and drive you during a snow storm but that was not possible!
