  • This is Flaco, I was in NYC for a soccer tournament and my stay here was great I must say. It was the perfect location to be at as the local bars were just down the street and so was the subway... I may be in shape but the stairs do get ya, great cardio! I wouldn't mind staying there again if ever in NYC again!

  • Все отлично.

  • My girlfriend and I stayed at Jamal's apartment for 9 days. It was great. Perfect location. Just 1 block walk to subway, a little amish market with almost all you need and lots of attractions really close (Times square, rockefeller center, Lincoln center, etc). Jamal was very responsive and concerned about our stay there specially when our flight was delayed and we had to chack in really late.
The only cons would be the gas not working and all the noises from the plumbing but if you are all day walking up and down manhattan you would probably sleep with no problems like we did.

  • The apartment was very clean and just like in the pictures, just what we needed. The only thing not working was the gas in the apartment due to a some work going on in the building. I would recommend the apartment to anybody and I would stay there again.

  • What living in Manhattan is really like. Super helpful and attentive. Hightly recommend

  • Great little apartment close to Times Square and Broadway with only a 2 block walk to nearly all subway lines. Jamal's friend Jonah met us with the keys at check in a little later than anticipated. We had tickets to a show that started shortly after we met and Jonah was kind enough to take our bags up 4 flights of stairs so we wouldn't miss the show! Apartment was clean and warm when we got back.

He was also kind enough to allow us to leave our bags at the apartment on our last day until our flight in the evening since there were no guests checking in that day!
Looking forward to visiting NYC again soon! Thanks Jamal and Jonah :)

  • We were really happy with our choice of apartment. The location was fantastic - so central. The apartment was comfortable and had everything we needed - it is perfectly fine for 2 people but may be a little cosy for many more. It was really clean, although you can tell the apartment is aging slightly.

Jonah was really helpful e.g. we stored our luggage there until we left for our flight. He also replied to our messages very quickly and gave us helpful tips. Thank you!

We used the flights of stairs as an excuse to eat more food!

    Would definitely stay here again

  • Perfect location between times square and central park, very close to restaurant, deli's, coffee shops and subways. Would definitely stay here again though stairs arent for the faint hearted after a long day walking around new york!

    September 2013
  • Apartment was good, close to everything.

Wasn't able to work out the TV but who needs a TV in New York there is plenty of other things to do.

    Would stay again for sure.

  • Our stay was a bit disappointing for the following reasons:
    1. Poor cooling system
    2. An oven that did not work
    3. Minimal cutlery in the kitchen
    4. Poor lighting and ventilation in the bathroom
    5. We had to work around tradesman during our stay
    6. We advised that 2 beds were required - but we had to set up a sofa and make this bed up ourselves.
    7. A small, ancient TV with a handful of channels

About
I was raised in New York and currently travel for work. While I'm away I host on Airbnb. My passion is being a professional hairstylist, and take great pride in my craft. I love the unique people I meet along the way, the stories I hear, and the relationships I have built. I am truly lucky to be doing what I love and having so much fun in the process. NYC is such an amazing city, but living here truly gives you a unique experience. I enjoy so much of what this great city has to offer, from reading a book in beautiful Central Park, to bike riding along the East Side River which is such a breath taking view. My favorite time of year however is December and seeing the tree lighting in Rockefeller Center. I have been going there since I was 8 years old, and every year the tree looks as big as ever. I usually fall down at least once a year at the ice rink too! I aim to give you the true NYC experience by hosting you in my apartment, and I am always more than happy to make recommendations or answer any questions you might have. Hope to see you soon!
