If you only want to rent for Carnaval or New Years the price is R$1000 for a full week.

We had a wonderful time with the Hammonds. It was like being with friends you have known for years. It was comfortable and relaxing. They were very helpful with any information that we needed to get around town with and they also showed us great places to eat that were not on the local flyers. I would recommend them to anyone going to Rio De Janeiro

Luke and Sheila were welcoming and helpful hosts. They provided information on where to eat and places to see in Santa Teresa. The accommodation offers a relaxed vibe. The location is easily accessible by public transport (once you have learnt the way ;-)). Thanks again!

Great hostel in Santa Teressa. Enjoyed my stay. Very nice colonial neighbourhood with great views. I had a private room with separate kitchen (shared) and bathroom in separate area of property. Walk 1 km which consisted of 400 meters of stairs to property from bus stop. (10 minute walk). Felt safe during my stay and at night. Free breakfast was buns, cheese, sliced meat and coffee/juice. There are more rules upon arrival and not posted on airbnb. - All alcohol must be purchased on site (No private alcohol) - No guests allowed - 1 load of laundry was 25 reals

I had a wonderful stay in Santa Teresa. Luke and Sheila are great hosts, very friendly and very helpful. The room was very clean, with a fantastic view. I would recommend everyone to stay there for a great Rio de Janeiro experience. The house and the garden are very well maintained which makes the place an oasis for relaxing siestas. the santa teresa neighborhood is one of the most fascinating in the whole city, very colorful, artistic and with nice bars for nightlife. Anytime again!

Everything was great. I'm really impressed of Luke and Sheila, they are just perfect hosts and wonderful persons! Very helpful, hospitable and positive. I also have found the host like a pretty nice for that price - cozy and clean. The location is very good too: Santa Teresa is a very beautiful, picturesque, calm and atmospheric area with a lot of nice views and good places for walking. There is a lot go good bars and restaurants around. And the bus stops are situated very close to house too. Thank you a lot, guys, I was really happy to stay with you!

Luke and Sheila are fantastic hosts. They will help with information and even walk you to places if you want. Their house is neat and tidy and has a very friendly atmosphere. I really enjoyed having my own private room but having people around at the same time in the guest house. It's like getting the best of both worlds. Santa Teresa is a lovely place with its narrow, curvy streets and plenty of places to go out. Navigating in the area can get tricky, but I figured it all out fairly quickly and Luke and Sheila were always happy to help. Also I never had any problems with safety and I walked all around the place at night too. Would come back without second thoughts.
