I own a great old house, 1910, 4 bedroom, 2 bath, with an outdoor shower, tree house and tiny house. The house is walking distance to The Columbia River and Washougal River, with lots of great trails nearby. It's 15 minutes from the PDX airport.
Charming, on a large lot with a patio, fire pit, tree house, tiny house, outdoor shower, big kitchen, porch.
Washougal is a great spot. We are walking distance to the Washougal and Columbia Rivers. You can walk to grocery stores, convenient stores, restaurants, brew pubs and bars. Washougal is much smaller and low key than PDX. We have more elbow room out here you might say, but we are also an easy 30 minute drive into downtown Portland and 15 minutes to the Airport.
You can take the max train from the airport to the Parkrose transit center, and then to the Vancouver Transit center off of 164th. From there you can take another bus into Washougal. The bus drops off on E, which is an easy walk to the house. Plan for at least an hour to get from the airport and the bus runs until about 730 pm.
Guests will have private access to the entire 4 bedroom home and given a key to come and go.
Interaction with Guests
The house has 3 queen sized beds upstairs, and 1 king bedroom downstairs. There are two full private bathrooms, large stocked kitchen, dining nook, tv area, pellet stove, tree swing, porch swing, private washer and dryer and plenty of places for lounging inside and out. I rent out a tiny house and treehouse on the property and live and work out of a studio apartment on the property. The house is turn key and private. I spend a lot of time in the outdoors and traveling, so I come and go. I love this area, and have lived in and around Portland for 23 years. I am happy to suggest fun adventures and great spots for food and drink.

This is a great place! The town is very sweet. It has easy access to Portland and Vancouver with a much more relaxing atmosphere, and it's far more affordable for a family. Kenny is a delightful host with a very creative style.
Kenny was a great host and a pleasure to work with! He responded very quickly to our inquiry and provided clear instructions on access to the house. The main house, tiny house, and tree house are all impressively renovated for guests . There was more than enough space for our group of four adults and two kids . Thank you for a great experience!
This was my husband and I's first experience with airbnb so we weren't quite sure what to expect, but our stay at Kenny's place was absolutely wonderful. The house was beautiful and the neighborhood was near plenty of great hiking trails and scenic spots. It was also a relatively quick drive into Portland without being in the hustle and bustle of the city. Our party of six felt really comfortable staying here.
Kenny was a great host and was able to inform us about all the cool local spots. Any time we had a question about the house or where something was located he was incredibly quick to respond and help us out.
Next time we travel up to the Portland area we definitely plan on staying here again.
We enjoyed Kenny's lovely home. The house is located in a small town in WA where Portland is about 15 minutes from the house. Kenny was so nice with us as he hosted us in his house and he provided to us all what needed like the fire wood. We really enjoyed our staying and we definitely will come back again to his lovely house. Please do not expect a new or a modern house as the house was built in 1900s, but it will maintained by the host.
The house was great and Kenny was very accommodating. Lots of space for the 6 of us, and plenty of kitchen tools to prepare our New Year's Eve dinner. Great airbnb experience!
Kenny was a really helpful host. And the house was really spacious enough to host us. Though it was winter, the house maintained warmth as it was well insulated.

I have lived in this area since 1992. I grew up in Colorado. Moved out to the Pacific Northwest to be near the Columbia River Gorge. For fun I spend a lot of time adventuring in the outdoors and building things.
