About This Listing
House is walking distance to The Columbia and Washougal River, with lots of great trails nearby. It's 15 minutes from the PDX airport. Built in 1910, 4 bedroom, 2 baths. There is a tree house and tiny house on the property included in the rental.
Charming, on a large lot with a patio, fire pit, big kitchen, porch, tree house, and tiny house.
Washougal is a great spot. We are walking distance to the Washougal and Columbia Rivers. You can walk to grocery stores, convenient stores, restaurants, brew pubs and bars. Washougal is much smaller and low key than PDX. We have more elbow room out here you might say, but we are also an easy 30 minute drive into downtown Portland and 15 minutes to the Airport.
You can take the max train from the airport to the Parkrose transit center, and then to the Vancouver Transit center off of 164th. From there you can take another bus into Washougal. The bus drops off on E, which is an easy walk to the house. Plan for at least an hour to get from the airport and the bus runs until about 730 pm.
Guests will have private access to the entire 4 bedroom home, the tree and tiny house on the property, and given a key to come and go.
Interaction with Guests
The house has 3 queen sized beds upstairs, and 1 king bedroom downstairs. There are two full private bathrooms, large stocked kitchen, dining nook, tv area, pellet stove, tree swing, treehouse, tiny house, porch swing, private washer and dryer and plenty of places for lounging inside and out. The house is turn key and private. I spend a lot of time in the outdoors and traveling, so I come and go. I love this area, and have lived in and around Portland for 23 years. I am happy to suggest fun adventures and great spots for food and drink.

Kenny was wonderful at both being present for our arrival and our questions, and giving us privacy and space. The house is set in a quiet neighborhood, was so very comfortable, and made for a great family gathering setting. Plenty of room for 8 adults and a toddler! And having the ability to have a small fire outdoors in the open pit was a nice way to reconnect. Close enough to PDX for a quick visit, and far enough away to just relax. Only wish we had been able to stay longer to enjoy the town and Washougal River.
Kenny was a great host and his home was as described, charming and inviting. We enjoyed our stay very much though regretfully unable to spend more time to soak in the country relaxing environment. Highly recommended.
The house was in a great location. Close to a bunch of waterfalls. The house itself is clean and well stocked. Kenny was a wonderful host.
Kenny's home is approximately 30 min drive to Downtown Portland. However, if you love the feel of a small town & relaxing beautiful nature than the drive is totally worth. Make sure to take time to checkout Steamboat Landing walking trails.
The home itself is very comfy, I particularly like staying in the room that had a gorgeous old tree out the window. Kenny is a superior host, friendly & available to answer any questions.
Kenny was the bomb!! He is very reachable to talk to and answers any and all questions and is very patient. The property is perfect for bigger groups and is in a very comfortable and cute neighborhood. I was very pleased with my stay

About the Host, Kenny
I have lived in this area since 1992. I grew up in Colorado. Moved out to the Pacific Northwest to be near the Columbia River Gorge. For fun I spend a lot of time adventuring in the outdoors and building things.
