About this listing
Home is walking distance to the Columbia and Washougal river. Grocery stores and restaurants nearby. Fifteen minutes to the PDX Airport and thirty minutes into Downtown Portland. Optional access to an tree house and tiny house - $65 each per night.
Charming, on a large lot with a patio, fire pit, big kitchen, porch, and optional adult tree house, and tiny house upon request.
Washougal is a great spot. We are walking distance to the Washougal and Columbia Rivers. You can walk to grocery stores, convenient stores, restaurants, brew pubs and bars. Washougal is much smaller and low key than Portland. We have more elbow room out here you might say, but we are also an easy 30 minute drive into downtown Portland and 15 minutes to the PDX Airport.
You can take the max train from the airport to the Parkrose transit center, and then to the Vancouver Transit center off of 164th. From there you can take another bus into Washougal. The bus drops off on E street, which is an easy 1 minute walk to the house. Plan for at least an hour to get from the airport using mass transit and the bus runs until about 730 pm. Using Uber or a taxi is a 15 minute drive to the house from the airport.
Guests will have private access to the entire 4 bedroom home, yard, fire pit, and property. Optionally, guests may request the use of the tree and tiny house for an additional fee.

The house has 3 queen sized beds upstairs, and 1 king bedroom downstairs. There are two full private bathrooms, large stocked kitchen, dining nook, tv area, pellet stove, tree swing, optional treehouse, optional tiny house, porch swing, private washer and dryer and plenty of places for lounging inside and out. The house is turn key and private. I spend a lot of time in the outdoors and traveling, so I come and go. I love this area, and have lived in and around Portland for 23 years. I am happy to suggest fun adventures and great spots for food and drink.

We arrived exhausted from Mount Rainier National Park with 3 cranky kids. Kenny met us and helped us get settled, he was very warm and hospitable. The house was spacious and perfect for the 6 of us. Outside he had a treehouse, swing, and garden that the kids loved playing around. The house itself is within walking distance to some fantastic parks for the children, the river, and downtown Washougal to get a local pint of the local craft beer. The house was located about 20 minutes from the airport which was perfect for us. We highly recommend this home and I hope that we can visit the area in the future when we have more time.
Awesome/fun place, plenty of space for 8 of us. Kenny was helpful in every possible way, and quick response. Highly recommended.
I'll start by saying this was an awesome experience. Rarely have I felt as instantly at home anywhere else, including friend's and families houses. Kenny was very welcoming and everything was as described. The neighborhood was quiet, (we were probably the worst offenders!) clean, and safe. We walked to local stores and bars with no issues. The house slept all of us very comfortably (10) and the adult kids fought over who got to sleep in the treehouse and fort. We even had an emergency with one guest's father who happened to be in Portland and we had room to host his girlfriend and her sister one night with no problem.
Perfect house for us. Thank you so much, Kenny. I bet I will back here on day again.
Very comfortable stay. Loved the tree house too. Great location to get to Pprtland. Kenny was very helpful and answered our numerous questions promptly.
We had a wonderful time staying in Kenny's big house! The property is beautiful- we especially enjoyed the big front porch and swing in the yard- and the location was just what we wanted to access Portland as well as some beautiful hikes. This was our first time using air bnb, and if every place is this nice and makes it this easy, we will definitely do it again!
The house was great! Clean and spacious. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook our meals. It was a hot weekend and there were fans in every room, which was very nice. The location was great, within walking distance to restaurants/coffee shops. Great place for 8 people to stay.

About the Host, Kenny
I have lived in this area since 1992. I grew up in Colorado. Moved out to the Pacific Northwest to be near the Columbia River Gorge. For fun I spend a lot of time adventuring in the outdoors and building things.
