Our warm, welcoming flat is the perfect home from home for up to 4, in Glasgow’s trendy West End. It’s comfy, roomy & sunny, with lots of sleek designer touches; ideal for exploring the city and countryside. Its a cosy base for business too.
This wee flat packs quite a punch - its a little gem perfectly situated for enjoying the best that Glasgow has to offer... Glasgow is rightly famous for its stunning Victorian tenement buildings, and this is a great example of that with high ceilings, large rooms and period features. I've added lots of really cool designer features and the odd contemporary piece of furniture to create an eclectic mix of old and new. The overall effect is one of warmth and relaxation, but with luxury touches and a wee bit of humour... There is one double bed, in the bedroom, and a double sofa bed in the lounge... the photos were taken when the flat was a wee bit empty, so it looks even nicer now... more pics coming soon!
Guests will have access to the whole flat - apart from one storage area - there are plenty of other storage options in the flat, though - so that will be no problem. We won't be there, so you'll be able to make yourselves completely at home.
Interaction with Guests
We'll interact with you as much or as little as you would like - if you need recommendations of where to go and what to do, places to eat and drink during your stay, we'll happily help - otherwise, we'll check you in and out and leave you be.
The West End is the most vibrant, sociable area of Glasgow - galleries, bars, restaurants, beautiful parks, all within walking, or staggering home, distance. Its also just a five minute journey on the tube from the centre of the city, and you can be out and away to Loch Lomond and beyond in half an hour - enjoying PROPER countryside, stunning hills, amazing scenery, the Scotland from the tourist ads!
Buses, underground, trains, are all really handy, but with a lot of what you will want RIGHT on the doorstep, you may not need them. If you're coming by car, there is plentiful free parking on street, usually at the door.
The flat is strictly non smoking... if you want to bring a pet, please contact us... other than that, please just treat our home nicely.
We were thrilled to find the apartment clean, bright and spacious and a short walk to the botanical gardens and the vibrant area of Byers Rd.
Next time we come up we would like to stay again.
The flat was indeed adorable, immaculate and quiet. I felt very at-home. The accommodating hosts responded to my questions/messages immediately. They put together a thorough 'guide' to the flat including general info about Glasgow - very helpful. I travel to Glasgow often, and this will always be my #1 choice to stay.
Adorable and perfect place to stay in and discover Glasgow. It feels like home and we didn´t want to move out.
Everything went well and I met Jo when I arrived and she is such a nice Person. I would always come back to stay at Jo and Mark´s flat. Recommending all over and over again.
Very nice apartment/flat. Beautifully (website hidden) was very welcoming when we arrived.
Very close to supermarkets, cafes, bars and the gorgeous botanic gardens.
Would recommended staying in Jo and Marks' to accommodate in Glasgow
Great stay at Jo and Mark's flat. The flat looks exactly like the pictures and the location is extremely convenient for the west-end of Glasgow and the City Centre. My wife, daughter and I really enjoyed our stay!
Jo and Mark communicated really well prior to the visit. I was welcomed and shown around the flat by Mark and was really touched by the tunnocks tea cakes left for us to enjoy. The flat is lovely and fabulously located. We had a great stay thank you.
My friend and I stayed at Jo and Marks flat for a few nights and it was just perfect. The bed was very comfortable and so was the sofa bed! The place was spotless and so beautifully decorated it felt more like home than a sterile hotel (website hidden) and Mark greeted us and we're very easy to get into contact with, we had a great time and the location was fantastic.
Hi We're Jo and Mark.. We both work in jobs that place enormous importance on relationship building and understanding what makes other people tick, Hopefully, the skills we've learnt through our careers help us to be successful hosts.
We love to entertain people at home, so friends and family have eaten a lot of dinners and drunk a lot of wine in the flat...
We both love the bars and restaurants of the West End and the rest of the city so can give great recommendations for our favourite spots.
Because we both love running and cycling, we can also give recommendations of great routes for working it all off the next day... if that's your thing!
