You're going to love this location. My private town home is a 2 story end unit that has been lovingly maintained. The entrance is on an alley providing peace and quiet and private parking. A pleasant walk only 5 blocks to The Pearl Street Mall.
I've spent years traveling the world, exploring the nooks and crannies of hidden neighborhoods and forests and mountains in obscure places on this planet. It shows when you set foot in my home. My 1600 square foot home has lots of conversation pieces I've picked up along the way and perhaps we've been to the same places. I love sharing stories of traveling and life experiences!! Your room is a peaceful, spacious room with its own private full bathroom.
The bright, well appointed guest bedroom with its own private full bath is on the second floor of my town home. The bedroom is fully stocked with a mini-fridge to keep your personal goodies, a Keurig coffer brewer, a water kettle with an assortment of teas and all the accoutrements you'll need for your morning beverage. The washer and dryer, which are available for you to use, are located on the second floor as well. There is amble parking right out my front door which accesses a private, quiet alley.
Interaction with Guests
I work 2 jobs! An office job for an advertising company and my real passion as a jewelry maker. I work with semi-precious and precious gemstones, leather, metal, and fire-polished glass. You'll definitely see me designing all sorts of wearable art. I cook at home mostly. My friends and family consider me a fabulous chef and I would love to share a meal with you. But feel free to whip up your own concoctions whenever you want. I have everything you'll need...from a Vitamix to a garlic press!
My town home is located in the Old North Boulder Neighborhood, which is also considered Central Boulder. Everything in the Downtown area is within walking distance. Our treasured Pearl Street Mall is only 5 blocks away and the North Broadway Shopping Center, which in my opinion has the best restaurants, shops, grocery store, wine shop, and coffee and tea shops, is a 5 minute walk from me. The trails to Sanitas Mountain and Valley are a 15 minute walk and are considered Boulder's outdoor stair master! So grab a cup of coffee at Vic's or Pekoe and head up to the trails for a morning workout!
Parking is not problem at all, however, the RTD public transportation buses are available right out my door. The 204 runs North to South Boulder every 15 minutes. The main RTD bus station is only a few blocks away and will take you to and from the airport and anywhere else in between. There's a Boulder B-Cycle station only 3 blocks away. That's a fun and cheap way to pedal and poke around Boulder.
Other Things to Note
I have the sweetest female German Shepard mixed mutt named Shanti! She gets along with everyone and you'll most likely fall in love with her!! But please only inquire if you're comfortable around dogs.
I ask that you respect my space and neighborhood and refrain from smoking cigarettes and heavy drinking.
I am happy to invite dogs but will need to get more information about your pet before you book.
Please check in by 8pm.
I loved my stay at June's! I felt really comfortable and at home and June and her sweet pup were so welcoming and easy going. The bedroom is clean and has it's own little fridge and coffee maker / tea kettle so you can be self sufficient in your room or use the kitchen downstairs - both of which I took advantage of. Great location too - super close to downtown but with easy parking as well. Would definitely stay here again.
I had a great time staying in Junes spare bedroom. The room was clean, comfortable, and very welcoming. June was so kind, & her dog was very friendly. The neighborhood was a perfect place to stay, very short walk to downtown Boulder. I would definitely stay here again.
June’s a terrific, helpful, considerate hostess, and her dog Shanti is a sweetie. My room was wonderfully, cozy, quiet, and clean, containing a private bath, fridge and coffee maker, (tea too). Her blurb for Sweet Private Room is spot on. You have easy access to a good grocery store as well as eateries. All located in a charming suburban, Boulder style neighborhood. Buses are a few steps to the corner and will take you almost anywhere you might want to visit in Boulder. If you like to walk the way I do, Pearl St shops are 10 minutes away; hiking in the Red Rocks is maybe 15 minutes away and it is about a mile + walk to culture i.e., the Dairy Arts Center or the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art. UC campus and its Museums are not far either
June’s is extremely helpful, easy to talk with and is full of information about Boulder.
I had a very happy six days in my private room and would stay with June again if the opportunity arises.
My boyfriend and I loved staying at June's place! She was quick to reply to us and made checking-in fluid and simple. The listing is accurate; incredibly comfortable bed and linens, great central location, and guaranteed parking!
I would not hesitate to recommend this listing to anyone looking for a simple, comfortable place to stay while visiting Boulder.
June and her place were absolutely perfect for my week in Boulder! Clean, warm, cozy, and quiet! The bed (and awesome 800 cnt Bamboo sheets) was SO comfortable, and all the amenities I needed were there. June is a really kind, friendly woman and she also happens to make killer jewelry! I would definitely stay here again.
June was an excellent host. She was more than accommodating with my weird schedule and her house is very beautiful and welcoming. It is also very close to shops and downtown boulder. June even lent me a ski pole when I wanted to go on a hike!
I stayed 2 nights and June was very hospitable. Due to my early arrival in Boulder, June made special arrangements for me to check in early and even got half&half cream for my coffee. Our schedules somehow never coincided so I never once met June in person. However she left helpful notes for me and was always reachable by text message. The second-floor room faces a quiet service alley. The house is located in a quiet North Boulder residential neighborhood with a mix of older arts & craft bungalows and new and contemporary mixed-material houses, yet convenient to Pearl Street (almost the epicenter of Boulder restaurants and shops). Parking is very convenient.
Boulder is my #1 "Happy Place"!
After living on the island of Kauai for 15 years I moved back to the place I love more than anywhere else on Earth…including Kauai believe it or not! Boulder is a place that exudes healthy, happy, heartfelt energy. Everyone you meet is ultimately happy. Why? Because Boulder has a combination of everything you could possibly want. World class hiking, biking, yoga, skiing (not to far away), restaurants, shopping, coffee, tea and even oxygen shops! You name it, Boulder has it. And my place is just blocks away from it all! Well…except the ski lifts! A 15 minute pleasant walk will find you on our famous Pearl Street Mall. And just 4 blocks from my place is my favorite tea/coffee shop, Pekoe. I have my own beverage there. The "cinnamon toasty crunch"! Ideal Market, which is owned and operated by Whole Foods, is right next door to them as well as The Wine Merchant and Radda Trattoria, a hip, boutiquey neighborhood restaurant & bar.
I personally am an avid hiker, cyclist, and amateur yogini! I have the sweetest dog on the planet named Shanti (yes...that's so Boulder!). She and I spend countless hours in the mountains. The Foothills are our backyard, which makes it super convenient to get out the door for an epic hike pretty much everyday.
I live an active, healthy lifestyle which is indicative of the people who reside in Boulder. I like to keep it clean and green. But I also live by the motto; "Everything in Moderation, including Moderation!" I am a wealth of information about where and what to do in this incredible town and am more than happy to share that with you. I love everything from the baked Kale Chips at The Kitchen Next Door to Jamaica Jerk wings across the street at Old Chicago! From the Green Mountain Smoothie at Ideal Market to an ice cold Fat Tire beer rooftop downtown at the West End after a big day of hiking!
At the moment I am a jewelry maker. I create stunning pieces of wearable art out of semi-precious and precious stones and leather. You'll see me beading away most of the time! That is when I'm not outside. Designing these beauties is my passion at the moment!
I've created a beautiful, peaceful, comfortable space for my guests. Shanti and I welcome you to our home and can't wait for you to experience all Boulder has to offer. You might even arrive on a day my homemade Cardamon Coffee Cake is coming out of the oven!!
