Sylvia met us at the apartment the day we arrived in Munich and gave us a lot of information about the city and public transportation. Sylvia was extremely pleasant and helpful during our stay, she even left us snacks and food for breakfast through the week. The apartment was tidy, clean, quiet and very close to public transport. Also, it may sound odd, but the water pressure was also great in the shower, which is always a plus! We had a great stay and would recommend the apartment to anyone traveling to Munich.
We had a great time with Sylvia, her place was very clean and provided good space for the 4 of us. The flat is good accessible via Tram 19 or U-Bahn. We loved that she took very good care of us, for our welcome she provided yummy snacks and drinks, her fridge was filled with drinks which we could use for a small fee. Even when we left to the airport early in the morning she came down with coffee and excellent pie.
One downside was that she didn't have wireless internet. But we we're able to get connected at Starbucks or Mcdonalds downtown when visiting the city center.
I would totally recommend her place again. Thanks to her we had a great stay in Munich during Oktoberfest.
Wonderful Sylvia and her apartment downstairs is excellent. She greeted us with mini pizzas and all kind of other food ready in the kitchen. Location (between city center and fairgrounds) was perfect for our group working in exhibition.
That's the best way I can describe our stay at Sylvia's. Our overnight train to Munich was cancelled, so we ended up getting to Sylvia's in the early afternoon the next day after sleeping in a train station all night. We were exhausted and starving when we arrived. Sylvia greeted us with a tray of sandwiches and fresh fruit that might as well have been manna from heaven. Not only that, but she stocked the refrigerator with soda, juice, and beer that she offered for a very small and reasonable fee on the honor system. The apartment is very spacious. It could easily sleep 5, maybe 6 people. The entire place was very clean and quiet, exactly what we wanted. I really couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Lack of WiFi is the only downside. It is a very short walk to the Tram that gets you right into downtown Munich in about 20 minutes. Sylvia is wonderful! She was very helpful with local recommendations, and happy to help with anything we needed. The morning we checked out she brought us fresh doughnuts and pretzels form the local bakery. Perfect! I would recommend Sylvia's place to anyone. Stay here!
What a wonderful welcome! It was like coming home. There was coffee made and an assortment of open sandwiches and a friendly smile from Sylvia and a wagging tail from her lovely 4 legged friend. The location was really close to the tram that took up past almost every site we had seen on the hop on hop off bus. Great for revisiting.
We all laughed as wer were visiting Octoberfest that Sylvia had thought of everything. The were chocolates on each bed but also a bucket, towel and packet of tissues. Luckily these weren't required!!!
I would highly recommend to stay here as even the location had a real local feel with the lake restaurant and local pub worth a "Cultural visit" no tourists just locals at home.
We came to Munich for Oktoberfest, and were greeted by Sylvia along with a pot of coffee and some toasts with meat and cheese. The apartment is very close to the #19 streetcar which takes us close to the Wiesn grounds, and pretty much anywhere else in the city. Sylvia was very nice and very helpful in explaining the way into downtown, as well as food and drinks in the area. If I come back to Munich, I would be happy to stay at her apartment again!
Sylvia met us at the apartment in the morning. She lives upstairs. She was very friendly and we drank a toast together. The place was very clean and had plenty of room. The kitchen was stocked with coffee, bread, sugar, etc. The beds were comfortable. There isn't any internet and stores aren't located close by. The number 19 trolley began and ended it's route about a block away. It goes to the main train station and takes about 40 minutes. You can get the U Bahn and subway by taking the trolley a few stops from the apartment. We bought food in town and brought it back to the apartment. There is a supermarket a few trolley stops away (about 1 to 2 kilometers away) but we never went there.
Sylvia was a great host and we would come back again if we went back to Munich. The only improvement would be to have internet available.
