Interaction with Guests
I only interact via e-mail and usually respond w/in 24 hours.
Colony One/Sea Mountain is a unique place. The setting & location are wonderful & unusual. The complex is well maintained & small enough to stay friendly. People say hello to each other as they walk past & lots of conversations are started while lounging in the pool/hot tub area. Since buying our unit over 10 years ago, we have spent a lot of time fixing it up & making it as comfortable as possible for our guests. There is a great bakery, coffee mill (that has tours & free samples), and farmers market all within a a 10-minute drive. Lots to explore in this lesser known part of the island and our place is a great starting point for your adventures. We invite you to be our guest at #24.
You will need to rent a car if you choose to stay here. We are about 60 minutes from Hilo airport & 95 minutes from Kona airport.
Other Things to Note
This area is considered remote. There are some things to know before you go that will make your trip that much easier. Once booked, I send a document of all that important info. It also has places/activities/restaurants etc that we have grown to know & love. As an ex-tour guide, I take a lot of time making sure this is up-to-date so you don't miss out on any of the incredible things the Big Island has to offer.
