A true eco lodge with view on the sea, animals everywhere and very close to the beach, bars and restaurants of Montezuma. Because of the high location the water pressure is not the best, this was the only minor issue we had during our stay. Yoni is awesome and very helpful, did everything to make our stay special!

It is as pictured but be prepared to live with A LOT of bugs but what can you expect when you are up in a jungle. The view was gorgeous and staff was super helpful! I would say if you are a wilderness person definitely stay here for the jungle tree house experience!

First, no reflection on the Abbie and Yoni, but getting to Montezuma at night was a bit wild. Our gps took us off the road and we ended up traveling right up to a pond or stream. So, just keep going on the main road until you take a left at which point be prepared for a long dirt road until a very steep hill into the town. The place is really a great adventure and Montezuma is lovely. I loved our room. It was all that it was described to be. Water pressure in the room wasn't great, but there were showers down below with good pressure. Very fun, very different. A great place to truly get away from it all. I loved the horseback riding on the beautiful.

We spent two weeks travelling and this was our favourite hostel. The most welcoming staff, by far. Excellent, clean room. Wonderful breakfast. A+

Very interesting concept with cabinas in the middle of the jungle. Room was clean and pretty nicely decorated, the shower has a large window to look at the view too. But some finishings are not done (the very long stairs to reach the cabina in the jungle are concrete blocks, the mosquito net is not fitting the bed frame, one of the windows was not closing completely) This is an hostel not a bnb, thing we did not expect before coming, but Montezuma is a place with lots of hostels so we maybe should have looked deeper before booking. Remember you are in the jungle so be ready to live with insects: we spent the night with 2 lizards, a big grasshopper and several small spiders, not harmful but a bit challenging :) We saw a monkey just before leaving, so we were very happy! We just met the receptionists as Abbie and Yoni are not on premises: they are all very nice.

We had such a great experience staying here. The location is just off the beaten path (easy walk) and boasts incredible jungle views. The staff was incredibly helpful and went out of their way to make us happy. It is a hostel environment so keep that in mind, but you definitely have privacy. We highly recommend staying here.

We really enjoyed our time at this cabina! The view was great, the included breakfasts were superb, and it was so much fun interacting with people from around the world. Hannah, Ency, and Yoni were all a big help (Abbie was in the US) and took good care of us. Even on the one rainy day we had, it was so relaxing just hanging out in the common area. It's less than half a mile to downtown Montezuma, which has beautiful beaches, tasty food, gift shops, and other places to explore. We took a horseback tour to the El Chorro waterfall and it was one of the highlights of our trip. The cabina itself was well-appointed, with a fantastic glass shower from which you can see the ocean. There's no A/C, but there were decent fans provided and we were comfortable. The water gets nice and hot, unlike some places that just have the electric shower head. The beds were a little on the hard side for me, but perfect for my wife. The wi-fi was typical for Costa Rica in terms of speed and reliability. It was on most of the time, and we were able to call our kids on and stream Netflix without too much trouble. It's a bit of a hike up to the cabina from the common area, but the path is well-maintained and well-lit. The ocean-facing wall is made up of doors that open completely out to the sides and provide an unobstructed, open-air view. The latches on those doors weren't working when we got there, and a monkey tried to break in as we were walking out one day, but the staff took care of the problem quickly. We saw capuchin and howler monkeys, various small rainforest mammals and birds, and lots of amazing flora around the grounds. We loved how friendly and accommodating all of the staff were, from recommending things to see and do and eat, to fixing the cabina doors right away, to getting our breakfast made early on the morning of our horseback tour. We would definitely stay again!
