Sedona Sacred Rocks is a destination for the spiritual pilgrim. We strive to provide a sanctuary for those seeking healing and to connect with nature. The adjacent 2000 acres of Coconino Nat'l Forest provide the perfect place for meditation.
We are committed to providing a comfortable, sacred place for healing and meditation so we do not allow drugs or alcohol anywhere on the property.
The Roost is a self-contained upstairs A-frame apartment with two bedrooms and a loft. It features a kitchenette, quaint living room with a sofa bed which opens into a full sized hide-a-bed, a private bathroom with shower, and a large viewing deck with amazing views overlooking the forest.
In keeping with the nature of the area, we have named each of the three living areas after the local winged-ones: "The Hawk" has a southwest styled California king-sized bed that can also be made into two twin-sized beds; "The Raven" has two comfy southwest styled twin beds which can also be made into a king-sized bed; "The Eagle's Nest," is a loft with two twin beds. The Roost can be rented by up to 6 people for $165/night Sun-Thurs and $211/night Friday and Saturday. (In high season, Feb-May and Sept.-Oct. Sun-Thurs. is $211/night and Fri-Sat. is $236/night). With use of the pull-out sofa, two additional guests may stay for a total of 8 people for an additional $35/night per person after 6 guests.
The kitchenette includes: a tea kettle with tea, a large toaster oven, dinnerware, silverware, mugs and glasses, a coffee maker with coffee, creamer and sugar, a medium sized fridge, a double burner hot plate, pots and pans, and oatmeal for breakfast. Also, all rentals have access to our outdoor five-burner Chargrill downstairs in the patio area.
The unspoiled natural beauty of the Coconino National Forest, local wildlife and nature, our medicine wheel, tipi, stupa and awesome night-time star-gazing creates the perfect setting for a peaceful escape. Relax, unwind and tune-in to the magic of the land here amidst the high vibration energy of the red rocks and forestry of beautiful Sedona.
Your hostess, Meaghan, as a practicing medicine woman, offers not only her spiritual healing methods to her guests but also sacred land ceremonies, horse divination and healing, intuitive readings, spiritual counseling and much more. Please give her a call for further info or to reserve a time especially for you or your family. Please call ahead before you make your reservation if you'd like to schedule any healing sessions or ceremonies.
Also, check out our medicine bags, jewelry and hand-made crafts available in the Temple Room store.
We also love to share our outdoor spaces: relax and watch the sunset by the koi pond; tune in to the nature around you on the meditation path; share drumming or quiet time in our tipi; walk the medicine wheel or put prayers in the stupa; pet our friendly four legged friends, the dogs Meli and Francis, and the horses Magi, Brogan, Kosmo, and Cece.
We have a variety of comfortable rooms and rates available. See our other accommodations here on Airbnb: “The Fox Den” and "The Deer Suite”.
Miles upon miles for hiking and admiring Sedona's natural, stunning beauty. Please note: there are no trails per say out our back door but we enjoy going out in the forest to walk the dry creek area. The closest trails are about a 7 minute car ride to Red Rock State Park and Red Rock Crossing.
Interaction with Guests
We reside here in the main house and will be present during your stay should you need anything, and we love to interact with our guests especially to share any information about the magic and beauty of Sedona, our ceremonies and the holistic services Meaghan provides. We can also recommend any restaurants, massage therapists, tour guides, etc.
We respect that our neighbors enjoy the peace and quiet of this very special and magical place. Our absolute favorite neighbors are the coyote, deer, rabbits, javalina, roadrunners, hawk, hummingbirds, bluejays, and the occasional lynx and mountain lions. Please respect the naturalness of the area and be aware that there are snakes and scorpions in the desert.
As we are tucked away from the hustle and bustle of uptown Sedona, there is no public transportation available from the property.
Other Things to Note
Check-in is from 3pm - 6pm and check-out is at 11am. Please note: we have a two night minimum stay on the weekends and also note there are no TV's in our rooms to keep EMF levels to a minimum for your relaxation and peace. Also, please be aware that we have a swamp cooler in the Roost, which is a unit that works as air conditioning. Booking price includes all taxes.
No alcohol or drugs allowed, as we are a Spiritual Bnb and out of respect for the Ancestors of this Sacred land.
we had a motley crew with an elderly father, 6 yr old twins, an uncle and a myself who all found charm in "the roost". Especially during the day and evening, the natural lighting in the high setting overlooking the forest is incredible and early morning surprised us with several colorful hot air balloon sightings. We could feel the calm and peacefulness of the valley and the hosts immediately and there is much offered for beauty and tranquility at the Sacred Rocks. If you're fortunate to have Stephen around, he will share many gifts of spirituality and insight into deep connection with self and the surroundings. He led a ceremony in the early morning that my father and brother were quite moved by. Accommodations are clean, very simple and unpretentious. This is not a loungy place. the land is the oasis, not "the roost" per se.
Was very pleased with our stay as Sedona Sacred Rocks. Meaghan and Stephen were very warm hosts. Everything was clean and well maintained. Enjoyed the Drum Journey with Stephen and the Medicine Wheel Ceremony. Beautiful little oasis. Thanks for everything.
Meaghan has created such a lovely and peaceful oasis. The photos don't do it justice! My husband, teenage daughter and I stayed for 2 nights and we agreed it wasn't long enough!
I recommend availing yourself of Meaghan's additional offerings. My daughter and I each had a private intuitive reading with her and her horses and I joined in on a morning medicine wheel ritual to start my day. If you are looking for a unique experience away from the crowd, I highly recommend Sacred Rocks.
We had a lovely weekend at Meaghan's house. It really captures the spirit of Sedona, with great location and views.
Meaghan has created a wonderful place to stay in one of the most awe inspiring area I've ever been in. She was very accommodating about later arrival, the Roost has so much space! The balcony made a great spot to look at the millions of stars. Highly recommend it if you are staying in Sedona, it was a truly a transformative experience and Meaghan is an incredible host.
Great experience at the Roost! Meaghan's place is an absolute oasis. Just what we needed for our group ranging from two teens to my elderly father. We were all very comfortable and my daughter and her friend really enjoyed the monday evening drum meditation. I was under the weather and needed to get straight to sleep which was lovely as well! The sound of the fountain was so relaxing- and the stars from the deck unbelievable. Just close enough to town to go out for dinner while still having the feeling of being somewhere quite secluded. Thanks for a great stay!
We arrived late, so Meaghan had left a sweet note welcoming us to Sedona Sacred Rocks. She also coordinated for Steven to come out and greet us and make sure we were settling in well. The room is great, very spacious for 6 people with a spectacular view off the back deck. I would definitely stay here again. In the morning when we checked out, she and Steven gave us several suggestions of places to go and things to do.

Sedona Sacred Rocks, a former Bed and Breakfast and also a former Buddhist Retreat Center, rests on two secluded Red Rock acres adjoining two thousand acres of the Coconino National forest. Your hostess, Meaghan recently opened Sedona Sacred Rocks as a Spiritual platform from which she shares her gifts and wisdom with those who wish to connect to nature and the beauty in Life and within.
Previously a successful professional trainer and rider of show horses for twenty plus years, Meaghan recently became a mother to two wonderful boys, Zac and Xavier. Her life then changed dramatically as she realized that she wanted to help create a better world for her children and future generations. Meaghan then took all of her gifts as a horse trainer, a Mother, an intuitive and an Energy Medicine practitioner/Reiki Master (Teacher) and combined them to help those that want to find wholeness and healing and to learn to live in their Hearts. Meaghan includes intention, ceremony, Horse Divination and Energy Medicine. In some cases, her horses act as her assistants and guides to create transformation for each individual's personal journey. Meaghan is available to come to teach and train horses and their partners at their home or farm. Her methods encourage them to take their riding to higher levels of communication, understanding and effective partnership through Heart centeredness. Meaghan also enjoys teaching people how to strengthen their connection with nature and our Earth Mother.
