Our experience at the Cabin was interesting. My girlfriend, 2 pigs and I stayed for 3 nights. We read, watched movies, cooked, made a fire outside, and really enjoyed the peace and quiet away from the city. It was -7' F causing the water pipes to freeze- But Mike was helpful with what we needed to do to get them to heat up again (bring a hair dryer). Thanks for your help Mike!
My three girl friends and I had a wonderful stay at Mike's cabin. It was exactly as stated in the description and it was the perfect location for our girls' getaway weekend. The cabin and whole area was very quaint and we had everything we needed. We enjoyed exploring the surrounding neighborhoods as well as simply the backyard. One of Mike's neighbors came by on his snowmobile while we were sledding and went out of his way to make paths for us so could slide down the hill more easily. He also let us know that he created paths all throughout the woods that we got to experience using the two pairs of snowshoes at the cabin. Mike was a great host and even brought us more kindling late at night when we couldn't get our fire started. It was the perfect snowy weekend to enjoy Vermont and we will definitely be back!
Mike and his cabin are wonderful. We had a great time experiencing the cozy cabin in the midst of some pretty heavy snowfall. He even helped us get our car unstuck from the snow before we left. Great dude.
This cabin was perfect for a weekend getaway! Mike was very friendly, had a fire going when we got there, and explained everything about the cabin to us. The cabin is very cozy and in a great location. We enjoyed using the snow shoes that were provided to explore the surrounding woods and scenery. Highly recommended!
The cabin was a great experience. Mike had a fire going for us when we arrived, and was really helpful despite our late arrival.
Everything was as described, and those wishing for a retreat in the woods should consider staying here.
Mike was a wonderful host!
He let us know that he only greets people as they arrive and the rest of the stay is theirs. Due to our arrival time and commitments he has with kids he was not able to greet us, but there was instructions for everything, a welcome note, and the cabin was easy to find. His instructions were perfect. The place was wonderful, exactly as described and shown and we had a wonderful weekend away (My partner and I). The cabin was a perfect size, once the wood stove was going it stayed quite warm, we were able to explore, listen to the rain on the tin roof, and cook delicious food.
Mike checked in via email and text to make sure we did not anything and was responsive to any questions we had. We were able to meet him the last day and thank him personally.
Great guy, Great place.
I will hope to be back on many more occasions.
If you're looking for a quiet Vermont getaway in a cozy cabin, this is it. The cabin is beautiful, and Mike is right there if you need anything. The cabin is in a great location if you're looking to explore the surrounding area, but you could also come here and plan to spend an entire weekend without leaving and be happy as well. Thank you Mike!

A Vermont transplant originally from North Carolina. I love living in Vermont, especially in the winter. If I am not creating or building something I like to be biking, snowboarding or out flying. When the day is done I enjoy hanging out with family and friends with a good bottle of something and cooking up a feast.
