The Place is very clean and a nice Spot. The host was very caring about us. Also the Garden with fresh fruit and veggies was very nice. I would totally recoment our room.
The place was amazing; we were in a bind looking for accommodations in Hilo and the host responded very quickly to our request. The place was a bit difficult to find but that's because we didn't read the posted detailed directions (totally our fault). When we got there we were greeted by Emma and Balin (daughter and host, respectively). They were super friendly and very welcoming. The room was also great, and we had sunrise in our window every morning. The room caught the cool island breeze so it was probably the best sleep we had during the hot nights (by then we were used to the sound of the island frogs). The common area was well equipped and was great for chilling in the reading nook. We wish we stayed a few night more but on the last night was had drinks with Balin and her husband and chatted about travelling and adventures. They had great stories and great advice for out next trip to the Big Island. When one of us lost our prescription eyeglasses in the madness of packing up and leaving, the hosts again responded very quickly to our emails asking about them.
The host was not present and was not very receptive in helping us to find the house . It was pitch dark and rainy and its hard to find a house in narrow roads in these conditions for a tourist.
The house description was accurate, but the fan was not working, it was making a lot of noise .. On top of this, there were frogs in the whole area which made it impossible for us to sleep.
When we reached, we met Marco and he was very helpful with everything and he was the only "good" part of the house.
I did not feel comfortable in the house and would not recommend this place.
Don't understand this , directions are on site, and easy to follow, I also texted directions to house and said don't hesitate to call if any problems. Do have coqui frogs all over island I provide ear plugs in every room, fan made noise, if they said something , would have provided replacement, did all we could for them, just no way to satisfy them, complainers
Hi Loren! it was really nice and sweet place to stay for the weed, also Natalie and her husband very nice people,
the company at night with the Coqui frogs ha ha new experience for me, I'll recommend it to my friend or family when they go to the Big Island..
Perfect spot, perfect location to visit the Waipio Valley. Host was great and he welcomed us late. Everything was ready and clean. The bed was (water bed) was amazing, and the bathroom is super huge (and clean). A very good place to stay in !
Loren reacted quickly to validate our reservation. Follow his instructions To find the House, it is very easy.
The house is very typical. It is shared with 3 tenants, plus 6 guests max i think (3 rooms rented). The tenants were really cool and helpful, thanks Guy!
We never met Loren, as he lives in California And rent this place. We are really happy of the rent as the House was really charming. One bad point is that we had a cockroach on the bed the first night (it should have come in through the broken closet). The price was also pretty high for a house shared by so many people.
We had a very nice stay at the sweet spot. The care takers were very friendly and helpful, telling us great places to eat in Hilo. Many other guests in the house, all very nice and friendly. The room and the house are comfortable and clean.
