I love that it is so close to Manhattan without being in Manhattan. By subway, you are one stop into Manhattan. The neighborhood has plenty to offer guests if you want a "real" New York experience. We are a block from Barclay's center, Brooklyn Academy of Music(BAM) lots of shopping and restaurants.
It's easy to get around whether you are walking, taking the subway or bus. The apartment is one block from the second largest subway station in all of New York City.

My husband, teenage daughter, and I stayed in Brooklyn while attending the Atlantic-10 basketball tournament. The flat was 2 blocks from Barclays Center and a block in the other direction for great local restaurants. Very convenient and we had everything we needed at the flat!
I agree with all the positive reviews previously posted: it is well located and the apartment provides lot of space. The beds are confortable and the kitchen is equiped with new appliances. But, even if we fully enjoyed our stay, I cannot silence one major issue regarding the bathroom. We realized that water was leaking through the ceiling light when someone was in the shower on 3rd floor. Water and electricity do not mix well. Even if the socket was quickly removed after we complained about that, the problem remains (water going through electrical wires). I have no doubt the owner will fix what I consider as a serious fire hazard. I will be really happy to rent this apart again, once this problem fixed.
Certainly one of the most interesting neighborhoods in all of New York --a great Brooklyn vibe and a quick shot into Manhattan. Tanya and Toni's place is well-located within Fort Green, on a lovely street just off Fulton. Not an ideal apartment if the weather is cold. Inside it's pretty basic. Not the usual airbnb experience in which you are staying in someone's lived-in apartment. Here it is essentially empty space and it seems as if Tanya and Toni are renting out various apartments and rooms in the building on an endlessly rotating basis. On the plus side, when they realized how displeased I was with the accommodations, Tanya and Toni allowed me to move and refunded my two un-used nights.
Location is great, easy access to Brooklyn, Manhattan & JFK. Check-in went fine, sheets, towels, kitchen all clean and in good order, owners responded quickly to questions, though an FAQ sheet about how things work would be welcome. Apartment itself is ok, not amazing. The minus points - things like (very) drafty windows that need weatherstripping, shower controls that need replacing, and the need for a general spruce-up - could easily be taken care of & would make it a much more attractive proposition.
As other reviewers have said, this apartment is in the perfect location, both in Brooklyn and easy to get into Manhattan.
The apartment is exactly as advertised - clean and perfect for a weekend get-away.
Good communication before and during the trip.
The most positive thing about the apartment was the position, close to the Atlantic Avenue subway. We stayed there 6 days in two couples.
The first problem we have signaled to the host was that the apartment (especially the bathroom) was pretty cold because of the old and drafty windows. We asked for a portable heater as soon as we checked in, and every day after that, but unfortunately the host brought it to us only on the very last day. It wasn't pleasant at all to stay January in NY in a drafty apartment.
Then, to make matter worse, the light went off in the morning of the second day because a blown fuse and, despite many calls, we received answer only in the afternoon, luckly we met a neighbour that helped us with the fuse (the light box was locked).
About the rooms, the smaller one has a squeaky bed and was pretty impossible to have a goodnight sleep.
The apartment was fully equipped, pretty clean and the wifi good, but paying 200 euro per day we were expecting a lot more. For all those reasons I wouldn't recommend this apartment.
The listing description was accurate and the neighborhood is great: within walking distance to the Atlantic Terminal/Barclays Center is awesome because it's easy to get to/from anyplace you'd like to go in Manhattan or Brooklyn!
The apartment itself is clean and has two separate bedrooms. The hosts left plenty of towels, as well as shampoo & soap "if you forgot to pack," which was considerate.
We had an issue with the key, but I think it was more user error than host/apt issue. That said, Anthony responded quickly and got us a replacement key and checked the locks. The lockbox is sticky and doesn't work every time, so I would recommend using it as little as possible after initially getting the key!
