We stayed over a month at Villa Bonelli, since we moved to Rome.
Carola and Mauro helped us, with all sort of questions concerning how to get nicely settled in such a big city. They were very reactive and they did not feel like hosts for us, but rather like a family member.
The appartment is very cosy, and you feel directly like "home". It is very good equiped, and if something is missing Carola and Mauro help you directly out. As a Welcome present a nice bottle of wine and some pasta is waiting for you.
The area where their appartment is, is residential and very well connected to the city by train and bus. Its a neighborhood were you can take a rest from the busy center, with a lot of green.
I can warmly recommend their appartment. I am shure, you will not regret it!

We stayed in this apartment for our first ever 5 nights in Rome. It was a great relief to find such a nice apartment to come to and such great hosts to receive us and help us get settled. Mauro was kind to meet us at the near-by train station as we arrived and walked us up the hill to the apartment where his wife Carola was also waiting for us. They both spent time making us feel comfortable in the apartment and sharing general information about Rome including where to go in the neighborhood to by bus and train tickets, where to shop and eat.
The neighborhood was residential, quiet in nature and felt safe. The entrance to the apartment property is secure and attractive. The ground floor location of the apartment was very convenient and allows for the nice outdoor private patio area to relax in. We were pleased with the nice quality of the furnishings including the bedroom furniture. The Internet speed and stability was some of the best we experienced during our 2 weeks in Rome.
As a bonus, Mauro and Carloa had a pack of spaghetti noodles, bottle of pesto sauce and a bottle of wine for us, which made a great dinner one night. They also had some breakfast pastries ready for us along with a few basic supplies in the refrigerator and coffee and spices in the cupboards. If there was one improvement I would choose, it would be the addition of a shower door on the shower rather that the shower curtain. Try as we may, it was very easy to end up with a puddle of water outside the shower.
We would definitely rent this apartment for ourselves again and have already recommended it to friends we have in Rome who often have guests visiting that need to stay in that part of Rome and need public transportation close by.
Carola and Mauro were excellent hosts over our one month stay. Both are very friendly and accommodating. Even though they did not live in the same building as the condo they were only a two minute walk from us. Carola met us at the Villa Bonelli train station on our arrival, escorted us to the condo, and explained the workings of the condo. There was some much appreciated food provided to get us through the first evening. The condo was everything that was described when we booked it. We can't say anything negative about it as it was perfect for our needs. All during our stay both Carola and Mauro made themselves available for anything that we needed, such as suggesting places to visit, where to shop for groceries, and joining us for a few social events with them. We never would have believed an Italian would play the bagpipes, but thanks to Mauro, we saw it happen. Carola and Mauro are a great couple. You could not ask for better hosts.
What a lovely apartment and what a lovely host Carola is! This place has everything you need for the perfect trip to Rome, all the tourist information and maps you want, everything in the kitchen to make lovely Italian dinners in the evenings, washing machine and dishwasher etc and a supermarket round the corner with really friendly staff (especially the guy on the deli counter!!). It has a bus stop and train station just down the road (the hill keeps you fit!!!) that gets you into Rome or to Trastevere really easily. The trip from the airport is also so easy which is important too.
It is a little further out from the city but it is so well connected that you don't even notice this, and it really is a peaceful haven after the hectic crowds of Rome city centre. You can chill out and relax on the comfy sofa or in the garden and enjoy the quiet.
Carola really knows her stuff too, and its those small details that make all the difference ;-). We discovered a few things thanks to her that we wouldn't have otherwise, such as the Eataly gourmet supermarket & restaurants at Ostiense (email hidden)azing, and the bus ride up to the lookout at the top of Gianicolo hill with the stroll down into Trastevere afterwards was really cool!
Thank you Carola for making our first trip to Italy so enjoyable, we can't recommend your apartment enough, hopefully we'll get to visit Rome again and come back to your place!!

We were warmly greeted by Mauro and Carola even at the time of 1am. Mauro kindly waited outside for us which helped us find the place when traveling by taxi from the airport. They both showed us around the lovely apartment and provided us with all the information we would need to get around Rome. They even provided some food and wine which was a lovely touch. The apartment itself was wonderful, it was spacious, clean and well equipped for cooking. The apartment is very close to supermarkets and the train station. You can get you to the main attractions in just a few minutes and it is very easy to navigate. I would recommend this place and would stay here again if I ever come back to Rome. Great apartment and fantastic hosts!
Perfect apatments with all things necessary for comfort stay. Quiet and very clean place 30 minutes by bus from centre of old city, it is not a problem at all because bus #44 stops near appartments. bus #33 - 5 minutes by walk. Train from Villa Bonelli to Airport goes 20 min. and Station is located 7 minutes away from apartments, it was very convenient for first arrival day and last day of departure to aiport.
Every day it was very pleasant to be back from noisy old city to quiet place, relax was perfect! Carola and Mauro are very friendly and made our stay very comfortable. Thank for them very much!
