I'm so sorry to write the evaluation. Cause I can't log in my ID in Taiwan just by the iphone. This is a nice Home Stay with a nice host~.Mrs Kao is so kind to every tenant. The rooms is retro style. And we can meet many foreign friends at there. I like them so much!. The price is very reasonable to the backpackers. Also the traffic transfer is easy to arrived. The local traffic station is near from the Home Stay. Thank you so much, and I will come to stay next time.
My stay here has been very nice, a very nice place and great hospitality by the host!
DO NOT BOOK THIS ROOM. Every hostel in Taiwan has airco, while this room did not. It is misleading that the advertisement description mentions AC. The host Gwen will not be present in the hostel since she only does the reservations so do not expect somebody present that speaks English. The worst part of the room: there were ants walking in the bed, disgusting.
Hi Thoma, On our title we mentioned NO AIR CONDITIONING! I did not check off air conditioning as one of our amenities for this room. Other rooms do. In order to keep the low price, we informed everyone before hand if they don't mind the heat.
I am not around that weekend during your visit, I am usually there at least 3 -4 weekends a month. My mother speaks English, I am always available via email, phone, and messaging.
Sorry about the ants. We don't like to spray the house with pesticide. we would clean everyday, the ants and other insects would still visit no matter what. To some visitors, especially the ones from colder climate, seeing ants is unsettling. We treat the insects by keeping the house as clean as possible. and be mindful of how we dispose our food.

About the Host, Gwen
I moved from Taiwan to Hawaii at age 14, lived in the US for most of my adult life, interrupted by living a few years in South America and South East Asia. I hope to visit Australia and New Zealand next, since I am so much closer now.
If I have a life motto, that would be "be as open minded as my upbringing and life experience would allow". Oh, love to hear other people's ideas. So talk to me!
