Interaction with Guests
We live next door and are available for all your needs, questions, concerns and information. We can point you to all our favorite hiking, biking, eating, drinking, etc.
Mendocino has so much to offer like Ocean kayaking, rivers, beaches, redwoods, dining, wine tasting, shopping and hiking. Our cottage offers great access to all of these opportunities, as well as a restful retreat from your every-day worries.
Public transportation is very limited in Mendocino. The best way to get around is by foot, bike, or car.
Other Things to Note
About cell coverage: Verizon and US Cellular work wonderfully. AT&T and T-Mobile have no coverage at the cottage, but will work in the village of Mendocino.
We do have a rooster that resides about two hundred feet from the cabin. He's not obnoxious, but he does crow a bit in the morning.
Please no smoking except outside on patio.
Please conserve water (we're on a poorly producing well).
Please relax and enjoy yourself.
Charming and relaxing, we totally enjoyed Morgan's Country Cabin! Will definitely be back!
Morgan and Viv were there to greet me and explain everything about how things worked. By things, I mean anything you could possibly need or want during your stay. Fresh eggs from their chickens and a fully stocked fridge and spice cabinet for my use. I had ben staying in the Village previously, and this felt like being in a private little Garden of Eden. Still only a couple minutes away, but you would never know. This would be a wonderful home away from home with its beautiful bedding and amazing closet. You really don't even have to leave. Walking around in the woods was so peaceful. Excellent choice of accommodations.
My boyfriend and I had the most wonderful stay at Morgan's cabin in Mendocino. The place was cozy, peaceful, clean and had everything we needed and more. We utilized the BBQ, fireplace and games in the closet to make us feel right at home. Not to mention the eggs, muffins and coffee that was set out for us to enjoy.
Morgan was so kind to lend us bicycles and helmets to go into town, another perk of the location of this cabin. What really made our trip great was all the recommendations that he gave us for restaurants & places to bike, hike and watch the sunset in the area. Mendocino is absolutely beautiful and this is the perfect place to stay with a great host.
I would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone looking to make a trip to Mendocino.
Our cabin was a lovely little quiet retreat! Morgan and Viv were the most generous hosts and I couldn't think of a better place to stay!
Morgan and Viv are wonderful hosts. They made me feel so welcome with fresh eggs, english muffins and coffee available for breakfast. The cabin is delightful. It was cozy and felt spacious at the same time. I was there for an extended stay and it really felt like home...such a peaceful, quiet spot - perfect home base! I only left yesterday and I already miss the sweet country cabin and Morgan, Viv and family! Hope to return for another visit! I have stayed at several airbnb places and this cabin has been my best experience to date! Highly, highly recommend!
The reservation was canceled 48 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Josh and I decided to spend a weekend in Mendocino for our anniversary. Morgan's cabin was the perfect place for us to enjoy ourselves, relax and take in the air from the coast to the redwoods in land. Morgan made us feel quite at home with the well-stocked kitchen and open access to the yard. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and felt much rested by the end of the weekend.
My Wife, Vivian, and I live in Mendocino, CA. We are healthcare professionals (Vivian is a RN; I am a paramedic). We love the outdoors, music, and gardening. We have 3 children, ages 10, 17, and 22.
We have done a lot of traveling. Every year we put a lot of work into making sure we're getting our fix! We've traveled extensively in Latin America. We've also been to Europe and China. Vivian went to Haiti as part of the medical relief effort after the earthquake in 2010. We love getting into the mountains for both summer and winter activities. This year we are traveling to France and Italy.
It is a pleasure to now have a space of our own that we can offer to travelers. We look forward to meeting you and providing you with a peaceful retreat.
