We do have a rooster that resides about two hundred feet from the cabin. He's not obnoxious, but he does crow a bit in the morning.

  • My boyfriend and I spent our 2 year anniversary in Morgan and Viv's cozy Mendocino cabin. I could not give this place anything short of a 5 star review! We arrived late, but Morgan was still up to greet us and show us around the cabin. He offered to help us take their kayak or canoe down to the river the next day, even though we ended up getting lost on the trails in the surrounding area. Their bikes were readily available as well, however we found ourselves to have more plans than we could actually see through. The cabin kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed and they left us fresh chicken eggs and some light breakfast items so we didn't have to go out! The TV has a ROKU box with a great movie selection. There is wireless internet which is easy to access and helps when you don't get cell service (AT&T). The cabin was clean and fresh and was stocked with all natural, organic, environmentally friendly products for our use. We were lucky enough to have 2 sunny days during our stay where we were able to take advantage of the wooden chairs out back. While we were soaking in the sun, we got visits from their cute little dog and two friendly cats. Morgan was readily available if we needed anything, but we still felt the perfect amount of privacy that we hoped for on our romantic escape to Mendocino! If you stay with Morgan and Viv, you will NOT be disappointed! We hope to stay there whenever we make it back up to Mendocino. Thank you so much!

  • My girlfriend and I were visiting Mendocino for a kayaking trip and stayed at Morgan and Vivian's cabin. It is a wonderful place to stay and Morgan and Vivian are great hosts. The cabin has a great layout with a really nice kitchen, a cozy living room, peaceful bedroom and very nice bathroom. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking and they started us off with some fresh eggs from their chickens, which alone would make the drive to Mendocino worthwhile. The cabin has a great south-facing patio with deck chairs that was great for relaxing in the afternoon after kayaking. The patio looks out onto a very welcoming yard and garden. Morgan and Vivian met us when we arrived and let us know all we needed to make ourselves at home as well as giving us local restaurant recommendations. Turns out I got the flu while there so while my girlfriend was out kayaking Morgan kept tabs on me to make sure I was ok, which my girlfriend and I deeply appreciated. We look forward to staying with them again.

  • We had a fantastic couple days at Morgan's cabin - lovely spot, all the amenities we could ask for, and friendly very helpful host.

  • It was a lovely and cozy cabin. It was a definitely relaxing cabin just as the profile picture portrayed; yet with modern amenities. The garden setting was serene, we even saw a deer close-up one morning. Morgan was very nice, he met us when we drove up the driveway. I loved the chickens waking up in the morning reminds me of my childhood.
The town and the beach was walking distant; if you love to walk. Town market is walking distant but driving is better if you have bags of groceries.
    We were definitely impressed.

We would go back to Morgan's Country Cabin.

Thank you Daniel family for sharing your cozy paradise.

  • The rental property was well maintained, super clean, perfect for a couple and located in the perfect spot as you can walk to town or just hang out on the patio. special touches like scented soaps, fresh eggs and cream (they were amazing!!!) and deer outside of your window really made the place feel like home. Definitely want to come back and stay again!! Morgan and Vivian were friendly, offered us great places for adventure but also respected our privacy. A 5 star experience from start to finish! Thank you!!

Very glad you enjoyed yourselves. Please come back any time!

  • My husband and I visit the area 4-6 times per year, and have stayed at many different places. This cabin was a great value. Hosts were welcoming, friendly, and hospitable. The cabin was comfortable, clean, and quaint. It was located close enough to the village to walk. The grounds are natural, and maintained. There are chickens, and a rooster to wake you, but he wasn't obnoxious. It rained most of our time here, so we didn't have much of an opportunity to enjoy the patio, although it was lovely. We enjoyed our time here, and I found it to be the perfect finale to nursing school. We would most definitely consider this vacation rental again for future visits.

  • Morgan and Viv were very gracious hosts. Morgan welcomed us upon our evening arrival and gave us great recommendations for grabbing a late night meal in town. They provided fresh eggs from their hens, english muffins, and a nice selection of tea and coffee for breakfast. Their cabin has a great layout with a nice kitchen, fireplace, high ceilings, windows with lots of natural light, an outdoor patio, and a very comfortable bed. It was very cozy, quiet, and made for a relaxing weekend getaway. Also, the location was perfect-very close to town, hiking trails, ocean and everything we could enjoy about Mendocino. We would love to stay with them again.

  • Morgan & Vivian's cabin was the perfect refuge for a North Coast getaway. Their sweet, cozy cabin is in fantastic condition and the whole property is beautifully maintained, replete with with natural resources and pampered farm animals. Their hospitality was very welcoming and we felt at ease to contact them with any requests. They offered up great local recommendations yet also gave us full privacy during our restful stay. So close to town and the beach, we're really looking forward to staying here again!

  • Morgan and Vivian's cabin is the real deal. If you are going up to Mendocino / Fort Bragg / the North Coast, you owe yourself the favor of trying to stay there. The property is located within a 2 minute drive from Mendocino's main town but secluded enough to feel undisturbed by civilization. The cabin itself is clean, spacious, and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked and you have access to some of the best eggs I've seen in a long long time. Morgan and Vivian are extremely hospitable and accessible to answer any questions you may have. Bottom line, if I'm coming up to Mendocino, I'm looking to see if this cabin is available.
