Apartment - Entire home/apt · Rue du Foin, Paris, Île-de-France 75003, France

In the heart of the Marais, behind place des vosges, charming pied a terre , very cosy and the high ceilings give another dimension to the flat , in pure 17 th century style

The Space

Right behind the very romantic and majestuous Place Des Vosges , our flat is situated at the heart of the historical district of the Marais. It is 55 sqmeters
Our street is made up of 17th century buildings and was at that time the stables of Madame de Sevigné 's Hostel on place des vosges.
The street is very quiet and has a village feel that any foreign guest can appreciate, after days of visiting Paris and its numerous nearby museums or the busy shopping in the area .
We are very close to Bastille with its famous bars and popular hang out places.
For culture hungry people we are a walk away from musee Picasso , Musée des Archives, musée Carnavalet or the fantastic and curiosities orientated Musee de la Chasse
We are decorators, and very attentive to your confor and your well being
we are happy to share the objects we collected from different trips around the world and our numerous art and architecture books.

The flat has a large living room with a double bed on top of a mezzanine (140x200), plenty of shelving space and a wardrobe, separate furnished kitchen and separate bathroom.
ADSL, free phone to Europe and US.
Closest subway stations of 3 lines, metro st Paul or Bastille or Chemin vert. Also many bus lines if you don’t fancy subways.
so it's VERY accessible and convenient. The Louvre, Notre Dame de Paris, Pompidou Modern Art Museum are all within easy walking distance of the apart.

Guest Access

the guest have access to wi fi ,the stereo, a good choice of parisian guides and the very large and well stocked art library , if they promise to put the books where they belong , after having a look at them.

Interaction with Guests

I always welcome guests and i try to give them advices , tips about restaurants and museums and the places i favor in the Marais, to make their stay as confortable as possible .

The Neighborhood

My neigborhood has a village feel, the houses are not too high and there are little shops everywhere , the flat is situated in a very quiet street but all around the rue des francs bourgeois , rue de bretagne it (email hidden)ly , young place with an amazing choice of restaurants , the rue st antoine has all the amenities and specialised food shops
that one needs for a nice parisian stay.

Getting around

we are between the station St Paul on the very well deserved no 1 central line (louvre , champs-elysées etc) and on Bvd Beaumarchais the station Chemin Vert, the No 8 line that goes from Bastille to republique, the big parisian axes, plenty of buses on rue st antoine and bvd beaumarchais , 65 and 20 direction gare de lyon

  • Marine's apartment is beautiful, and is excellently located one street off of the place de Vosges, in the heart of the Marais.

The apartment is on the ground floor, which was very convenient as we were laden with luggage. There is a down side to this, as the windows open onto the street at the sidewalk level (the interior is not visible from the outside).

We were three: my wife, my son and myself. We had plenty of space in the apartment. My son loved sleeping in the mezzanine (gallery) bed. We were comfortable in the separate bedroom.
It was cold outside, but inside the apartment is well heated.

Marine met us when we arrived, explained the workings of the apartment, and made various suggestions of places to eat, drink and shop in the neighborhood. The apartment has WiFi, a landline phone we could use, even a hifi stereo system. If you are bored (fat chance) there are hundreds of books in the bookcases.

    We warmly recommend Marine's apartment.

  • We had a great stay at Marine's apartment. Totally recommended for location and interior. Maybe the bathroom and kitchen could do with a little renovation, but otherwise perfect.

  • Marine’s place is located in a perfect location, at street level for easy access. The ingenious use of the space itself creates a feeling of being in a much larger apartment with plenty of room to spread out. This truly is a designer’s apartment with interesting artworks and a wonderful book collection. Remarkably quiet except for a couple of very noisy moments every day – a wall of tall windows with privacy glass opening onto the street allows you to look out while passers-by enjoy mirrors that encourage preening in your full view! We enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning to Marine’s lovely place.

  • My boyfriend and I stayed at Marine's flat for four days at the end of August. The flat is in a fun location - great stores to browse during the day and restaurants to try at night. We took advantage of the Paris travel guides and attraction brochures provided in the flat, which were very useful. Marine was responsive and informative. The flat was comfortable and experience was seamless.

  • We - John Ditte Anders (14) and Klara(12) had a great stay at Marines flat . Marine was very helpfull and flexible about our time for arrival and we felt very welcome. The flat was as beatyfull as it appears on the photos - we Liked the feel and atmosphere of art, creativity and culture (all the wonderfull books - must come back to Read some of Them ...)
The size of the flat is fine for 4 People.
The beds and sheets where very comfertable, the sofa great to relax in after long days of walking. The kitchen where small but just fine for making breakfast - and Also dinner eventhough we ate out. The flat is on the ground floor, but there are toned windows so you Can not look in from the street. Some white thin curtains Would have been nice, when we sat in the sofa in the very warm evenings with open windows.
The flat is in the most perfekt location of the Marais. 2 min. From place des Vosges and all the Best shops and wonderfull Streets. Just where you want to be located in Paris . We kept repeating to each other when we Walked Down Rye de Foin how lucky we where being in such great location. And we Will pass on this advice: GOOD LOCATON is the very most important thing when you visit Paris.
We Can warmly recommend this flat to others.

  • Marine was very helpful and friendly and met us as promised with keys and directions and information. The apt is just as described and in a fantastic location in Le Marais right near Place Des Vosges. I stayed with my mum (69yrs) and sister (39yrs) and we all thought it was fantastic. It's on the ground floor so some street noise sometimes but when asked those making the noise apologised and left quickly. Some things to note: The shower is over the bath and right next to the kitchen. Wifi was working well and the beds were comfortable. It was also cool being on the ground floor (average around 30 degrees celcius in Paris when we stayed) so nice to come back to a place that was comfortable. We didn't cook but the kitchen is well equipped with everything you would need. The coffee pot is a bonus! Thank you Marine and Jones, this is a great place and I truly hope to be back one day. I would recommend this if you are looking for a great location, local experience, well equipped place in the 3eme. Awesome!
