Mike was hands-down one of the best hosts out there. The room was very neat and clean, and the location is very convenient as the No 8 bus stop is right in front of the building and No 33 bus stop is just around the corner. His apartment's got a lot of characters with his collection of antiques, and it's absolutely wonderful to chat with him about his collections and Vancouver in general. I ended up taking his advice on a Japanese restaurant and it was a hit with my friends. Mike is very approachable and friendly, and he definitely made sure that the place is working out. I'm definitely booking another stay with him when I go to Vancouver again.
Staying with Michael was great! He is a fantastic host with so many great stories and not to mention so many things to look at in his place! The place is literally like a museum. That being said it was very clean and comfortable. Michael was there to help but gives you enough to give you space and do your own thing. The apartment is in a great central location with a bus line right out front or a 10 minute walk to Main street with lots of restaurants and shops. I would definitely recommend staying with him.
I had a great time in Vancouver while staying at Michael's place. It was just as described, allowing for room and privacy for a bargain price. Michael was very helpful with any questions I had, but gave me plenty of space to explore.
Michael was a good host! He is very friendly and helpful. The place was perfect for me to stay about two weeks. I definitely recommend him as a host. Thank you!
I was two weeks at Michael's apartament and It was a so good experience. The place is an autentic museum.
Michael is a great, very friendly and funny host. He always has time to talk with You about some object that catches your atenttion.
In my stay I didn't use the kitchen but there were a lot of staff to use it.
Finally the location of the apartament It's great and it has a wonderful view toward Downtown it makes an excellent experience to be in vancouver.
The place was perfect for me. The bed is lovely, house was clean and Michael was super accommodating. All the antiques make for an intriguing and unique visit, and along with the gas fireplace, for a nice atmosphere.
I'll mention the kitchen is tight, as there are so many items in a small space, but I don't think many travellers will mind, as it is still functional, just don't expect to bake too many soufflés. It was no problem for me, and I used it numerous times. I just feel it is the sort of thing that should be mentioned.
