The Laurel Hill Garden House offers a very large space in comparison to many rentals in a similar price range. It is a clean and comfortable private lower unit in a large split level brick home on a landscaped double lot. The house is located in the foothills near Hendrick's Park and Laurel Hill Park. Watch the sun rise from the porch with an East facing hilltop view. The home has two bedrooms with a queen size bed in each, a double bed in the bonus room, and a futon in the living room. This cozy home offers a well stocked kitchen, washer and dryer, large bathroom with soaker tub, 42" plasma tv with DVD player, a wood burning stove, and free wifi.
Avoid searching deep into suburbia for a place to stay. Easy I-5 access minutes from the U of O, Hayward Field and Mathew Knight Arena (1.2 mile). Caddy-corner up the hill from Comfort Suites hotel, seen from I-5.
This house is adjoined to the owners home so someone is usually nearby if for any reason questions or concerns arise. The rental is a fully self contained house with private entry. Stocked kitchen with microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, and more.
(Currently our focus is geared toward short term furnished housing for traveling professionals, sabbaticals, people in the process of needing temporary housing when moving to the area, etc. Hence the week long minimum stay. Please inquire for shorter stays. We are happy to rent for shorter stays that fit into our calendar.)
Interaction with Guests
The odds are better than not that I will be present in the upstairs unit during most stays. Guests are welcome to let themselves into the rental. I often assist in introducing new guests when I am available.
CHECK-IN TIME IS AFTER 3 P.M. PST AND CHECK OUT IS 11 A.M. PST.
This is a NON SMOKING rental.
Pets are permitted in rental only with prior approval. $50 pet fee applies. All pets must be leashed at all times. Pet owners are responsible for cleaning up of any/all pet refuse. Pets are not allowed on furniture at any time. Any evidence of pets on furniture may incur extra cleaning fees. All pets must be up to date on rabies vaccinations and all other vaccinations. Heartworm preventive is highly recommended. All pets are to be treated with Advantage or similar topical flea and tick repellent three (3) days prior to arrival. All items above are the sole responsibility of the pet owner. The home owners assume no responsibility for illness or injury that may incur to pets or humans while on the premises.
MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY- The maximum number of guests is limited to six (6) persons. THIS PROPERTY REQUIRES A three (3) NIGHT MINIMUM STAY. A two (2) night minimum stay may be granted depending on availability and scheduling if discussed prior to your stay. Only the number of guests listed on the reservation are permitted for overnight occupancy. Permission for additional guests beyond what is listed on the reservation must be approved in writing. Failure to do so will result in additional charges at the managers discretion.
INCLUSIVE FEES – Rates include a one-time linen-towel setup. Amenity fees are included in the rental rate.
NO DAILY MAID SERVICE – While linens and bath towels are included in the rental, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. We suggest you bring your own beach towels. We do not permit towels or linens to be taken from the rental.
WRITTEN EXCEPTIONS – Any exceptions to the above mentioned policies must be approved in writing in advance.
Parking – Parking on the property is limited to three (3) vehicles. Vehicles are to be parked in designated parking areas only.
The home is privately owned; the owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The Homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise.
15. Management, at its discretion, reserves the right to cancel any reservation and/or deduct from deposit fees if guests are found to be in violation of any of the house rules, deface or are destructive to property, or participate in theft of any house property.
Sierran made us feel welcome by leaving a key for us when he wasn't home upon our arrival. He was friendly and considerate at all times, prior to the rental and during. The place was perfect for our needs! Super quiet, in a charming neighborhood, yet right off the freeway. The beds were firm and very comfortable, the "rainfall" shower lovely, access to laundry facilities (although we didn't need them), the kitchen well stocked with cooking utensils and several food items left perhaps by prior renters. It felt like being made welcome in a relative's house. A friendly dog and a coy pond near the greenhouse added to making us feel at home.
Accurate description of the house and neighborhood - everything was as expected when we arrived. Sierran reached out to me on Friday to confirm our arrival time and was responsive to our needs over the weekend.
The apartment was quiet, comfortable and clean. Great living room space with seating for a group. Bathroom was spacious and tub was luxurious! The garden outside was lovely. A great value.
Sierran's home is clean, comfortable, and cozy. We found it in a quiet neighborhood and met Sierran as we were checking in. He was very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay.
My family and I were looking for a place to stay while my grandmother was in the hospital and this home had everything we needed. We were able to rest peacefully and catch up on some much-needed sleep. The living room was comfortable as were the bedrooms. Sierran was also very accommodating of our three cars (sorry!) and helped us figure out where to park.
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a private and quiet place to stay when in Eugene.

We loved our stay at the Laurel Hill Garden House. Great garden, well equipped kitchen, large comfy living room and a great host. Our 18-month-old son especially liked playing with Sierrans small dog Bogie and he enjoyed playing on the nearby playground (about 5 min. walk from Laurel Hill Garden House). The garden is frequently visited by all kinds of birds, squirrels and even wild turkeys. Sierran is a great host and made us totally feel at home.
My stay at the Laurel Hill Garden House was perfect! It's located in a quiet and convenient part of Eugene- close to the UofO, beautiful hiking trails, and downtown area. The house itself was very clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a 2-week stay.
Sierran was an awesome host as well. He was super responsive and accommodating, and just an all-around great guy! I would highly recommend staying at his place if you're planning a trip to Eugene. :)

I discovered airbnb from a fellow airline employee who, like myself, is always looking for ways to have a unique experience while on a budget during world travels. I later decided to post s vacation rental of my own when my grandparents needed someone to manage a home in the San Juan Mountains of Southern Colorado. I have found that I enjoy working with the many people who have vacationed at our home. I have recently purchased a split level home and hope to create a pleasant alternative to the local motels for guests coming to the University, enjoying the areas many events and festivities, and those touring through the Eugene area.
