  • Great experience. The apartment is located in excellent and central location. Gilles is a wonderful host. Apartment was clean and spacious. Unfortunately, there is no more parking on the street right next to the house so make sure you go to a garage or find parking on side streets. Garage of off rue Dorchester that we found was safe and $14/night.

  • Very well located. Gilles was there when we arrived, very helpful. The place was as advertised, clean and spacious for us (4 adults and 2 children). We enjoyed our stay and I would definitely recommend it.

  • The apartment was very much as advertised, great location, clean, good price and congenial host. Its an iconic Quebec building with a great view from the back veranda. It could use a few upgrades in the bathroom and some new linens but overall satisfactory. Even though it is on a relatively busy street, the bedroom is on the back making it easy to sleep.

  • Neighborhood looks a bit questionable at first glance (empty chain-link fence lots on all side, graffiti, etc), but after getting to know Gilles, the apartment, and the surrounding area I would definitely go again! He was there to greet us and showed us around the apartment, even though we weren't able to give an arrival time. The apartment was spacious with lots of windows and a balcony. It was a short walking distance to everything we could have wanted - the historical sights, shopping, food, Old Quebec... everything. It was very pleasant to be in the middle of everything. My only concern is that I don't think the bedroom windows locked.

Parking is definitely a concern. We were there over the weekend so we were able to park right in front of our apartment the whole time (which was SO GREAT!) BUT those spots are only available on the weekends. It is used as a bus lane during the week. If we hadn't had that... I honestly don't know what we would have done. Just something to consider before you book!

  • I recommend Mr. Gilles. His apartment is well maintained and very near to the old city. He was helpful suggestions and of course the rates were very attractive. You have all that you need as for bedding, linen, dishes, washing machines, etc.

  • A beautiful old-style brick apartment a short walk away from rue St Jean. Gilles was quick to answer any questions we had during our 3-day stay to make for a pleasant Airbnb experience. There is a parking lot conveniently located next door, where you should mention Gilles name for a discounted price (14$/night).
    Thanks, Gilles!

  • The place was very comfortable and clean.

Mr. Gilles gave us a map and showed us what were the main places to visit in town.

I definitely recommend this place! =)

  • Great location, within easy walking distance from the centre. Perfect place to base ourselves - two couples - for a short break on our road trip.

  • Gilles is a fabulous host. He was right there when anything came up that needed fixing. The two apartments for the nine of us worked wonderfully. The location was very convenient to the main Ecolobus ($2.00 bus that goes all over old Quebec) and within easy walking distance to all the sites in old Quebec. But the best was the proximity to St. Jean Street, a fabulous street with delicious bakeries, coffee shops, gourmet food shops and an ambience that can't be topped.
